On October 31st around 4:15pm; my wife wanted to know why the CD trade was renewed and told me to call and find out because she couldn't see the details when navigating the website. In the original Order Detail it did not show if it was "autorenewal or not".

She had a head ache and so she laid down while I made the call.

I asked the person that answered the call if the CD was on a automatic rollover because it showed that today on 10/31/23 a trade was made to purchase a CD from People's Bank with a maturity date of 2/7/24. The original CD was purchased for 1 month and matured on 10/30/23.

To make a long story short, the person that answered the call response was always "I'm not sure"...then to look further into it he asked to speak to my wife since it was her account and I was only the beneficiary. I told him she was laying down probably sleeping and he still insisted. I gave her the phone and he went through all the same questions for authentication and still didn't want to provide any information to her. This was outrageous, so I told her to ask to speak to a manager (he said that only once a day an authentication code is sent to her phone - I believe this is not true). She spoke to the manager and he said that I would need to fill a trade form and I explained to him that I'm not doing the trade and that she only wanted information. They wanted to speak to her so she can get the information and still refused to do so after she answered all the questions, then they are not following the authentication agreement and instead hidding behind their assumptions that someone that is not the account owner wanted to do a trade...they are making false accusations about the account holder's husband which is defamation of character. Also, it is a lie that Charles Schwab can only send 1 security code per day as we have experienced in the past that Charles Schwab has sent multiple times a security conde to log-in on the same day. Now what it is suspicious is when the manager was asking my wife for her password and this is something that shouldn't be asked by anyone...this is a security concern when someone asks you for your password.

Desired outcome: The rep and the manager needs to go to sensitivity training. Also, never under no circumstances should anyone ask you for your password...need to investigate if this is allowed at Charles Schwab to ask the password.
