My son suffered Trauma break to his leg and ankle. He was at a trauma hospital and Altamed had him moved to a hospital they contract with. They did nothing but bedrest, not even xrays and sent him home. Altamed does nor have an orthopedic trauma surgeon in network and they can't find one. 4 weeks later, they said have your primary request out of network doctor I even asked what if I have paramedics take him back to a trauma hospital, they said they wouldn't cover it. meanwhile my son is suffering with leg bent at the major break on leg.

Recommendation: No 100% No. I had to purchase his wheelchair and all his continence supplies. Can't reach the medical supplier they approved.
