AMC Network Entertainment review: Management

To whom it may concern: My husband and I have been A-list customers over 5 years.  We went to AMC superstition theater located 1935 Signal Butte, Mesa AZ 85209 Thursday May 21st.

While my husband was getting popcorn I went to fill our cups with water. We were told we can just get water numerous times before considering we go to AMC theatres at least 3 times a week.  This particular time I went straight to get water. My husband then walked over to me. We were then both accosted by the manager Elisha.  She told me she wanted to make sure I was NOT stealing soda! She approached my husband and I without announcing who she was, until my husband asked her. She said she saw me grab lids without asking.  I told her I did not grab lids.  After she knew I had gotten only water. My husband told her we’ve been coming here for years and we always get water. She conversed with my husband loudly and then walked away mid sentence of my husband speaking to her.  I preceded to the rest room.  Before entering our theater my husband asked for her name and she became hostile again. She then told my husband she was calling the police on us for trespassing. We then walked towards our theatre which we were already late.  

10 minutes later the police arrived in the theatre and asked us to leave!  They told us Elisha informed them to tell us we were banned from that theatre.   My husband asked her , her name again. She was reluctant but was told by the police she had too. This Definitely feels like abuse of power from an AMC employee!

I must admit most of our day was ruined. We drove 25-30 minutes to the theater, got tickets on-line and purchased popcorn. And later escorted out of the theater because of AMC THEATRE management thought it was necessary.

Don’t know AMC protocol for such flagrant abuse of power for getting water, being accused of stealing and afterwards having the Police called on you and being told you are banned.

Please contact me ASAP! Is this how AMC treat Loyal customers?
