I went to dr. Mcconnell on february 14, 2019, prior to that I had brought in a medical clearance from my primary since the office denied ever getting receiving it. Brought it into the office, and asked for an appointment to see her before the colonoscopy. I was told there is no need to see her before. I came to the office at 7 a.M. I was scene by a nurse, and then taken to a room given a gown and told to undress and leave the door open when I was finished. I was taken to a bed in the pre-op area. The anesthesiologist came in, introduced herself and went over some questions. Very friendly and delightful so were the nurses in preop. I had not seen dr. Mcconnell yet. I was then taken into the or, at 8 a.M. Put to sleep, and the procedure was done I assume. The next thing I remember is waking up in recovery, with the recovery nurse standing over me, waiting for me to make gas, so I could go home. I did, she then helped get dressed, and I was sent home. I had no idea what was done, if anything was found or not. The next day a nurse from the surgical center called me and asked me I was ok. I said I was, but I had no idea if anything was found or not, I had not seen the doctor and was given no paperwork to take home. She then told me the results were 3 polyps and a diagnosis of diverticula. I asked her what that was, and she said look up on the internet. I still have no heard from dr. Mcconnell. After 2 weeks, I was finally a sent report in the mail telling me what was done and the findings. I have no information on anything, have no heard from the doctor, no discussion of followup nothing from her at all. Still no answer as to what my diagnosis was. Again they said find it on the internet. I do not go to a doctor to be told look up things on the internet, and not be spoken to by the doctor. This is rude and insulting, and she has no personality. Not speaking to me, or seeing me, or discussing the findings or sending me home with information, but discharging me with no information whatsoever, I have a problem with. I think a hearing should be held or some kind of formal process to discuss this.in addition a formal apology from her, and oversight to make sure she does not do this to any other patient.
