I booked a flight in Jan 2026 thru the Austrian Air website from San Antonio, Tx to Milan, Italy (06-06-26 thru 06-19-26). The airline I'll be flying with is United Airlines.
I received a email that part of my flight was cancelled, but no solution to the cancellation. I called Austrian Air and a lady rebooked my flight. When I checked a few days later on the united airlines website all of my seats were cancelled. I called United Airlines customer service and spoke to a lady named Vicky, who was outstanding. She told me that Austrian Air had cancelled all of my flights, not just the flight from San Antonio to Chicago, but all of them. Vicky helped me rebook my flights and seats, and stated that she will make a notation on my account to have Austrian airlines sync the Class of Service with United Airlines. I waited about 1 week and called Austrian Air to see if it had been taken care of, but was I in for a nightmare. I called "8" times, my last call to Austrian Air was about 10 minutes ago. Everyone of the people for Austrian Air were telling me: " I'll take care of it. I will open a ticket. I promise, I'm gonna take care of it". So it's 2 days before my departure and nothing has been done. The lady at United told me that I might have issues checking in if Austrian Air doesn't sync the Class of Service with them. So lets see what happens when I get to the airport on Saturday.
Furthermore: The customer service reps for Austrian Air are rude and incompetent and in need of more training, and I hate to say that, you can barely understand what they are saying. There is a language barrier for sure.
Needless to say that I will never book thru Austrian Air again, and I also to my friends and coworkers not ever book with you.
Recommendation: Don't book with Austrian Air, they are terrible
