Needed flowers for my daughter in the hospital. Searched for local flower shop and Avas came up. Began an order on Avas web site. Showed a beautiful arrangement for a discounted price of $53.00 with a free delivery discount code. Got through the lengthy ordering process and at the last screen a $29 service charge was added. Because I had invested so much time on the ordering process and needed to get the order in ASAP to get delivery same day, I proceeded to order. After ordering I noted that the receipt indicated a "flex delivery" of today or tomorrow. After ordering I did more research and found they were not local at all. Because I was worried they would not get them delivered on time, I reached out to cancel my order. The person I talked to nicely told me that since I had selected the "flex delivery" I could not cancel the order. I told them I did not select flex delivery since I wanted them delivered same day. I was quite direct about my wanting my money back...to no avail. I will say that they did connect with the local florist whom they use and got the delivery made same day and gave me a $10 discount. That said, the arrangement they sent was not even close to the picture of what I ordered. I paid about $80 and did not get what I ordered. Deceptive business practices, poor customer service, except that they did ensure the delivery was same day, which was good. The photos show the arrangement I ordered and the one that was actually delivered. Not even close.
Recommendation: Do not use them.
