This company was great while my mom was alive. However, she passed on May 6, 2025. I called to cancel the contract as she had passed and they instructed me to send her equipment back. In July 2025 I sent the equipment back. In January 2026, I was billed $659.40 for the new year. I called and told them that I had already cancelled the contract. They looked up her account and found that I had sent her equipment back and told me they would refund our credit card. In February, the charge was still there so I called again. "Isha" looked up the account and apologized and said the account would be credited. In March, the charge had still not posted so I called again. This time "Michelle" told me that only one piece of the equipment had been returned and that if I returned the rest, they would cancel the contract and refund the money. I told her I didn't have the equipment because I had sent it back in July 2025. She said that if I agreed to a $500 charge for non-return of equipment they would cancel the contract and refund the balance. I agreed just to get the contract canceled. Now it's April, and they haven't done so. I disputed the charge with our credit card but they won because I cannot prove that I sent back all the equipment. Do not do business with this company because they will not let you cancel the contract once you no longer need it. They say they'll cancel the contract once they get the equipment back, but the first I heard that they didn't have it was seven months after I cleaned out my mom's house. Rest assured I'll let everyone I know not to do business with Connect America aka MedicalAlert.
