My family stayed at the Days Inn November 21-23, 2008. We wanted a getaway for our kids so we booked three rooms anticipating that most of the time at the hotel would be spent in the pool area. When we arrived and the kids rushed to the pool, what a shock as the pool was freezing cold. We went to the front desk and told the lady..she said that she would inform maintenence. When we went to the rooms, they each had serious problems including: smoke detector not working, broken lamps, phone not working, fireplace not working, washroom was filthy. Again we informed the front desk and the only concession they made was to move us from the room with the dirty washroom. The next day we again asked about the pool and asked to speak to the Manager. The manager after making us wait 2 hours, said that she was not informed of our problems and we should have ensured she was informed...HUH? Isn't her staff supposed to relay the information. Anyway, to make a long story short, the Manager is obviously not qualified to be in customer service and the Hotel condition should be investigated. Also, our rooms were not made up during our stay. Turns out they had a problem with the pool a few days prior to us arriving but for whatever reason did not tell us about it. Even when we complained, the front desk clerk pretended that she was unaware of an issue. I called the Niagara Fire Dept and only then did the hotel check the smoke detectors. We called customer service and they were fully on the side of the hotel...totally disinterested that 3 family's getaway weekend was ruined. Seems like Days Inn will issue a licence to anyone and does not follow-up to ensure a level of service and accomodation. My advice: DO NOT EVER STAY AT DAYS INN - RIVER ROAD...AND ONLY CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU WANT MORE ABUSE AND BAD SERVICE.

You are right Days Inn dont care about you or your stay. All they care about is getting their money. They let these owners run the hotel however they want. They always side with the hotel and never the customer. I work at a Days Inn and I could tell you stories that would blow your mind..My hotel uses stained up sheets and towels, and if you complain about it they kick you out...My hotel is owned by a indian couple that live on property. They are cheap and always think that the guest is wrong..If the room is dirty or the sheets are stained, they say the guest did it. Days Inn better do something soon because people are getting tired of these nasty hotels and bad customer service..
