I do not like the menu changes. They are cumbersome and take way more steps. Many of the recording options in the recording manager / list no longer work. You now have to go to a different menu section to see your current recordings from where the recording manager options are. It’s hard to manage what I can now do with my recordings and some options have simply disappeared. I still want to see a written list of my recordings not pictures - they take up too much room and I can’t see them all at once or can’t scroll down in the list easily as before to manage them easily. They really screwed up and should return to the previous menu options. One of the main reasons I liked Direct Tv was the ease of their menus and being able to manage them and have control of my own recordings. To save them permanently if I wanted, or allow them to be deleted when space ran out. On top of the huge negative of my satellite dish going out every time a stupid minor little rainfall happens or snow (which happens often living in MN), and getting booted out to internet, which everyone knows means loosing whatever you were watching if you were in “rewind” mode (normally a big positive of their service so you don’t miss any of your favorite shows if you have to step away from the TV for a bit), this new Negative change to their menu options might have finally tipped the scale to making me and I’m sure many other customers to switch services (perhaps back to Comcast)! Direct TV take note! Change isn’t always good, sometimes leaving well enough alone is the best decision! You should have done more research on your main customer base. Most of us I’m guessing are in our 30+ to 60+ age range and we don’t want all the new fangled internet looking based menus and apps. We want simple, functional, and useful easy to read and manages menus and functions! With personal control over options.
Recommendation: Demand a return to previous menus or switch services!
