I will try to make this short... My family lost everything due to identity theft/fraud turned cyberstalking and have been living in our car for the last couple months waiting on victim services/ housing to help us. I tell you this because ever since this happened and an employee noticed the contents in our car employees have been following me while I shop. They give me and my daughter nasty looks and tonight although I purchased a couple items a short time ago (less than 1.5 hours) I was told we could not use the restroom and wewere kicked out of the store. I have not only gone out of my way to help clean up the parking lot and bring carts back up to the store to help out after an employee dumped trash out of one cart and left the trash and the remaining carts behind (not to mention, trash is a big issue with a large portion of the homeless population, I am not blind, but we are not all slobs!) I have never stolen a thing from Fred Meyer yet I am treated like a criminal immediately after discovering our hardship. One employee actually stole twenty dollars from me when I got cash back at self checkout and played dumb when I asked where the cash was. She tried to say I received it when it was obvious she grabbed it seconds before I asked (she was a terrible liar and guilt was all over her face) I asked what I had to do to get my money returned to me and the employees literally ignored me while I repeated the question over and over! These are only a small percentage of discriminatory incidents we have dealt with at this store in particular. I have never been so disappointed in people than in the last couple months. It is sickening to me that there are so many quick to judge and accuse without even asking questions. I am appalled by the actions of this stores employees especially management. My family has been through hell! Honestly I feel hurt that I am treated like less than a human being simply because my family fell victim to a crime. I will be passing along my opinions of them now and will never shop here again!
