If anyone is think to install Bamboo flooring please do NOT install:
GOODFELLOW STRAND BAMBOO
sold by Home Depot and Rona it literally is about as durable as a Bamboo skewer.
The installer laid the floor and my 20 LB dog sat down and got up and she splintered and cracked the surface through the stain and the terrible finish (her nails are short)
When the Goodfellow rep came out to my home to inspect the flooring he was smug and rude telling me it is performing as it should. When I asked him about 2 other Goodfellow products he said they were GARBAGE.
Seriously - this is a terrible product and the company has the worst customer service in Calgary - AVOID!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
A company in Stephenville NL, placed Goodfellow hydrasafe flooring and placed in customers home. The rep in our area said improperly installed. Says we need transition strips everywhere. The problem is that the flooring shrunk length and width during winter. Good fellow will do nothing. We have spoke to other contractors who have had same issue and even mentioned same rep we had but rep says never heard of any other problems. This contractor in particular knew exactly the name of rep we had. Do not buy goodfellow hydrasafe.
I bought Goodfellow laminate in eastern Ontario and they butchered my order. Thwice they sent me unusable product (manufacturing defects in every box) and in the end they offered no discount or extended warranty. Their standard warranty includes only wear (no chipping, scratches or failure or the product in any way). Save your time and money, this company makes garbage in my opinion.
