this happened to me twice now: started out in hotel website, picked out room, services, and there was a blip... and it said guest reservations with hotel website in the background.
The bill was the price of the rooms, as in the website, 87 Euros per night
plus charges for taxes recuperation... 17 Euros
service fee of 66 Euros for two nights at 87 Euros.
total price 265 Euros instead of 172 Euros
already charged to my visa.
Will talk to the hotel owner, we might take this to a lawyer this time.
This is a totally scam.

this happened to me twice now with the same hotel. I do stay in hotels quite often, but had problems with this booking co twice at the same hotel. I am wondering why an American company would charge for 'recuperation of taxes' in a foreign country.
I would also note: the hijacking of the website happened at the exact moment I confirmed the card payment, just a blip on the screen... anybody noticed this too?
