On February 14, 2023 at 2:59pm, I was at the register and noticed the Mrs. Baird's single honey bun rang up $1.50 each. The price underneath the product was labeled as $1.00 in which I bought two. After paying for the items I went back to that shelf and took a picture to show the manager that the items are marked with a lower price and I needed to know which price to trust in the future. I wasn't necessarily wanted the dollar back but needed to know for future shopping, which price is accurate. No one wants to put items in their basket to find out at the register the price is higher than advertised. My husband LOVES these honey buns and I try to keep him stocked up.

I saw three managers standing near the register so I asked them all and they volunteered Mr. Ceasar to help me. He takes me to a register to wait for the cashier to complete the current customer and then all of a sudden Ceasar pulls out his wallet and hands me a dollar. I was very insulted. I explained to him right then, in front of those standing near, that I didn't want his money I wanted clarity for future purposes. He insisted that I take the dollar and said "it's ok." Since everyone seems frozen in time, I walked away... dissatisfied and flustered. I didn't know if he didn't know "how" to handle the situation or what but since I frequent that particular store several times a week, I wanted an understanding.

I walked back over to the same three and addressed Mr. Ceasar. I said again, as I was handing him back his personal dollar, "I don't want the money, I want to know which price is accurate before I check out. He said"whatever the register rings up, that's the price."I said,"so you're going to change that price on the shelf to reflect that?"He replied,"yes."By the looks on all of their faces told me that assume"minorities always looking to get away with not paying for stuff." That thought infuriated me to the point I made up my mind to NEVER shop at that HEB again. I even returned a $23.00 item I was holding on to as a gift for someone.

I know Kroger's is more expensive but my intelligence has never been questioned or tried at their store. After patronizing that same HEB for many years, I'll shop elsewhere.

Desired outcome: I want and it is apparent that the managers at the HEB at 2121 FM 2920, Spring Tx 77388, need extra training in "how to handle SIMPLE questions WITHOUT getting personal and offensive."
