I used Turbo Tax to prepare our 2025 taxes at least two weeks before the deadline (4/15/2026). When I went back in to print them out for our records yesterday, they had NOT been sent, despite paying them and indicating that a paper check would be mailed to the IRS for the amount due. I also happen notice that when I first logged on yesterday, our state refund was “in process.”
Today I spoke with a customer service representative who said she “had no idea why this would have happened and that I should contact the IRS and tell them that it was an error of theirs.” I don’t think that the IRS is going to accept that as a valid reason, however, it does look like I may have found a solution on my own, no thanks to this company.
Recommendation: Don’t waste your effort and money. I mentioned this error of theirs to our daughter and she said that she’d heard that this was a known issue with Turbo Tax which could get you in a lot of trouble for no reason except for their mistake!
