I have been a frequent shopper at Kohl's since it opened near my home, and up until the last few years I have never had any problems. However, my last shopping experiences have been unpleasant, to say the least. I had a few questions regarding some policies and when any new merchandise shipments may be arriving. I was abl to find an employee right away, and she was extremely pleasant and friendly. when I asked her she said that she would have to check with a manager about a few of my questions, because she was fairly new, and that was fine with me. I followed her to where her manager was, and when she asked the question, the manager was extremley rude to her, for "bothering" her when she was carrying on a personal converation. Personally, I was offended for the employee, she was a relatively young girl, and she had done nothing wrong or rude, she had been completely polite. When the manager finally came over to contend with my question she was short with me, and walked off as fast as she could, whether my question was answered or not. The girl kept aplogizing and was being very sweet, but she was not at fault, and if anything I felt bad for how she had been treated, moreso than my own treatment. Usually, I would have nothing to say that was negative about my experiences there, but up to this point I had never dealt with any members of the management staff, and let me just say, I was underwhelmed with their view on customer service and treatment of their employees. Making an employee nearly cry, no matter the age, and treating them poorly, will not gain my support, and if I were in charge, I would seriously consider revising the management staff!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

you should contact corporate and ask them to give the stores more labor budget so the managers and employees aren't so overwhelmed and "short" with you. He most likely had a fitting room with 500 pieces of clothes in it, customer service full of returns, a 14, 000 piece truck sitting on the dock, lines at the registers, and the whole store needed to be recovered. All this with 4 sales people on the floor cause 7 people called out that day, like everyday, cause kohl's allows their employees 17 absences a year.
Not to mention, paperwork that needs to be filled, credit goals, budget goals, payroll, and nasty customers who think that employees are privy to know exactly what and when a particular piece of merchandise is comming on the truck.
Oh and by the way, you should also ask that kohl's hire some personal shoppers whose ONLY job responsibility is to cater to one particular customer at a time AND you still want cheap cheap stuff.
I think Bloomingdales already has that, FYI.
All of that may be true but without their customers they have no job. If they don't like what work they have to do there are other jobs out there. Customer service needs to always be great as they promise! There is no excuse for them to act in that manner no matter what circumstance, it's their damn job!
