MasterCuts review: hair coloring and cut ( 1 comment)

On the 27th of Aug. I went into Mastercuts to get a 21 foil highlight. My receipt # is 6. I asked the stylist for the 21 foil. (this is what I have always done there and is on their records) She (Amy was the stylist) did do the 21 foil but also tried to cover my roots with some color she came up with. I did not ask for this to be done. When she was done with my hair I had an orange stripe on the top of my head where she tried to do the roots and the 21 foil didnt start on my head until about 2 inches from my scalp. The stylist then cut several inches off of my hair when I asked for a trim. I paid for the service which was a lot more than I thought it was going to be. I went home and tried to restyle my hair and saw what she had done. (Many areas were missed and the orange color was all over my head.) I called the salon back and was told to come back in and they would look at what she had done. I went back the following day. The manager of the salon and the regional manager were both there and both looked at my hair. They decided to try and fix what she had done the previous day. Laurie the store manager took this task on. While trying to fix the mess Laurie kept saying "what a mess and this is really F...ed up". Laurie re foiled my hair and added a darker color to cover the orange up.. Keep in mind I was blonde when I went in there. When Laurie was done I had very dark hair with gray highlights. Also the orange was still visible. The regional manager came over and looked at my hair and told Laurie to put a toner on my hair to calm down what she had done to my hair which Laurie did. Then because of all the things done to my hair it was extremely damaged. Laurie then had to cut and layer my hair to remove some of the damage. (My hair was long and all one length.) They then handed me a jar of product to try and repair my hair. I submitted a complaint to Master cuts about what had been done to my hair. I then got a call several days later from the regional manager. During this call she agreed to refund my money. She stated it would be refunded to my card within 5 to 7 days. She also kept saying how sorry she was and that the first stylist was getting more training. Its been over a month, I've called the salon to no avail. I still have not gotten my refund. I still can't get a brush to go through my hair. My hair is now brown instead of blonde and short. My hair is in horrible condition to the point of breaking off and getting even shorter and parts are falling out. I want my refund. I paid $160.00 on my visa debit card. I was told this would happen but I now believe it was just to shut me up.

I had a ver similar experience in Hanover ma. I alsace the mistake of paying for a terrible service. When the regional called me she kept saying "why would you pay?" Well, becuase I wasn't given another option. They also offered to redo my color. No thank you! My virgin Indian hair now looks like hay. I just want a refund. The regional called me on 12/11. She said she was going out of town for the weekend and would get back to me. It's now 3/18. Haven't heard from her since.
