On 6/2/2020 I had my tires replaced on my Ford F150 at NTB. I paid $1, 434.04 for this service.
On 6/7/2020 I walked out and looked at my front driver side tire. It looked low. All of my tires looked low. The tire pressure ranged between 30 to 33 pounds. The employees did not even get the tire pressure the same. If I didn't notice that how bad would I have worn those tires?
I called NTB in 13609 N I35 Bldg. 7 Austin TX 78753
Spoke to a wonderfully inept person. I asked if he could tell me what the tire pressure was supposed to be. He didn't seem to know how to answer my question. I informed him these are the exact same tires I got from my last visit to the same NTB. Since he had no answer, I said, "it goes by what the label in the door on my vehicle says, correct?" He did reply yes and I informed him that I just had new tires put on and they did not have the correct air pressure on them. He said "just put more air in them." I sarcastically thanked him for the great service to which he replied, "you're welcome" and hung up.
A little background information: I've purchased these same tires from the same NTB before. I swore I would never go back. I wasted the money for a lifetime rotation because I took it in for a rotation and they did not do it. Not only once, but multiple times. The last time I took it in for a rotation, I marked my tires on the inside. They would have seen the makings if they had rotated them. When I went to pick up my truck it was in the parking lot. I checked my tires before going in, and no, they did not rotate them… again. So, I went in and informed them of this. The employees, of course, said they did rotate them. I informed them I am not going to argue with them because I marked the tires and they are in the same spot. They didn't flat out call me a liar, but it sure was implied. I ended up having to take it elsewhere to get them rotated. The whole ordeal was a pain. The place I took it to said they looked like they were never rotated, because of the wear.
Again, I swore off NTB and informed everyone I know of their poor service.
I have heard everyone say Discount Tire was good, so I went to them. I found out that they had to order the tires and that it could be a while before they came in. Then, I found out NTB was only $6 more per tire. So, I went against my better judgment and purchased from NTB again. They tried to push the rotation for life package again. I laughed.
So, I feel once again NTB is not the place to go. I am sure this letter won't accomplish anything, if it's even read at all. But I did it for me as well as the hope that someone will read this and something will be done unless, of course, this is common customer service for NTB.
