Formal Complaint: Severe Flight Delay, Missed Connection, and Expense Reimbursement Claim
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint and claim compensation regarding my recent journey from India to Poland via Muscat and Frankfurt, booked under a single itinerary.
Due to a operational delay on my Oman Air flight, I missed my scheduled connecting flight from Frankfurt (FRA) to Warsaw (WAW), which severely disrupted my journey and caused me to miss crucial important personal appointments.
Flight Details:
Original Itinerary Duration: 17 Hours 35 Minutes
First Flight: WY 236 (Hyderabad to Muscat) – Date: 15 May 2026
Second Flight (Delayed): WY 117 (Muscat to Frankfurt) – Date: 15 May 2026
Missed Connection: WY 5387 / Lufthansa (Frankfurt to Warsaw) – Scheduled Arrival: 15 May 2026 at 22:25
Almost a delay of approximately 11 hours, and caused a severe issue to me where my important meeting was delayed due to this which caused a huge loss. Also, there was no proper assistance provided after the delay, where I had to go through lot of stress to book the accommodation and next available flight.
My Demands:
Financial Compensation: Under the Oman Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Passenger Rights Protection Regulations, I am entitled to compensation for a severe flight disruption and schedule alteration that resulted in a final destination delay of over 10 hours.
Please review my attached boarding passes and receipts. I look forward to your prompt response and settlement of this claim within the legally required timeframe.
