New phone purchased and shipped from Toronto-ground shipping- to Sudbury. Sudbury is 4 hours from Toronto (about 250 mi) by car. Item shipped on June 9. No notification received to this point.Checked Tracking number online-delivery was attempted on June 11 but there is a gate on the driveway. No notification left of attempted delivery. Called Purolator on June 11. Redivery to be done. June 12- no redelivery attempt yet so called Purolator again. POSSIBLE delivery on Monday, June 15th (for an item from Toronto).The killing point here? There is a large box outside the gate with a large sign indicating that deliveries are to be put in box AND THERE IS A NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED STICKER ON THAT BOX! So, instead of receiving a package in one day - it IS only 250 miles, it will have taken 6 days. And who knows if it will actually come then. When I asked for a contact number for the Sudbury depot - they don't have one . You aren't allowed to contact the depot directly . So I can't even arrange to go into town and pick the package up at the depot. Honestly, can the service get much crappier?
Recommendation: Use Dragonfly, FedEx or CanPar - they have no problems leaving packages where they should be
