Ross Dress for Less review: no refund policy with merchandise over $50 ( 1 comment)

I was trying to return a $169 bag but I don't have a receipt so I was thinking maybe I could just get a store credit so I can spend it on something else. The store manager at the puyallup WA branch told me it's on the back of the receipt and so I go read it. I told her there is nothing on that print that says NO RETURN NO EXCHANGE ON ITEMS OVER $50.. so she said the system won't let her and she won't do it. I think this is FRAUD! If that is their policy then that should be printed on their policy and give consumers a warning that their "system will not allow refunds on item over $50." This should not even get this far if only they have a good customer appreciation. It is very unfortunate that Ross staff like Mary @ Puyallup WA branch is giving the company a bad reputation and I do hope that Ross store policy is NOT what she said it is.
