I submitted an online Pick Uo & Go grocery order on June 9, 2023. I did not pick the order up but my debit card was still charged for the full amount of the order. I had made five attempts, requesting a refund via customer service phone.
Order# [protected] for $53.76. I called customer service on 6/10/23, 6/22/23, 6/29/23, 7/5/23, & 7/8/23. Each time I was told the refund was processed. I never received it so I submitted a complaint online on 7/12/23.
I received an email saying that it had never been processed and that the gal was submitting and expediting a refund request and that I would receive an email with a copy of the refund receipt. Also it will take 5-7 business days. I never received a copy of the refund receipt nor have I received a refund on my debit card.
So it’s been six weeks and after this many attempts, I will be filing a complaint with the Bureau of consumer protection. Unfortunately, I will no longer be buying my groceries from Safeway/Albertsons I have been a loyal customer for years and love shopping there, but due to the situation, I will not return.
Desired outcome: I am and have been trying to get a refund of $53.76 that was charged against my debit card, even though the groceries were not picked up.
