Sears review: sparking and burning on oven top

Model 790.[protected] Kenmore Electric Range Had the oven 3 years. Kept immaculately clean. Set oven to 250 the other day, put in roast and came back 15 minutes later to see sparks and smoke coming up out of the top.. Sparks at least 2 feet high. Had we not returned, our house would have been burned down. Had an "F10" warning displayed on the front screen of the range. Sears wants to charge $99 to troubleshoot the issue and more for parts. Asked another appliance repairman and he said he wouldn't bother as something like this could have easily melted other wires and could be a serious fire issue later on. Will continue calling Sears for replacement, but this should be recalled immediately!
