I enrolled at Strayer University at 42 years old being a lifetime PA resident trying to obtain my bachelor's degree in criminal justice/law enforcement administration. I started April 1, 2024, and God willing I will graduate this Winter 2026. I have always maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA. I have always applied for the PA PHeaa grants since I started and always am denied. And today I just found out effective after the summer semester 2026 ends which is September 21, 2026, Stayer University voluntarily withdrew from receiving PA grants. I want them and PHeaa investigated because this is not fair to me a single mother of 4 children who is trying to better myself and my children's lives. This degree is going to end up costing me approximately $60,000.00, so to not be able to receive a grant and be told that I was always ineligible when I believe I was lied to. If they (Strayer University) gave the official statement that they will no longer participate in the PA Pheaa grant effective after the Summer 2026 semester (Sept. 21,2026), then why am i being told since 2024 they never worked with Strayer University.
Claimed loss: Since enrolling with Strayer University since April 1, 2024 until still attending currently, PA pheaa grants are up to $5,750.00 per semester.
Desired outcome: To be given the pa pheaa grants if I am found to be eligible. I am unable to upload all my documents for some reason.
