Purchased a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 from this dealer. Paid 26k for the truck. asked to see the carfax report and was shown a few pages showing that there was only one owner of the truck and that the services were made at the Superstiton Springs delearship. The top part of the report was cut so I assumed that this had the prior owners information and for security reasons the page had to be cut.
I traded in my 2005 Hyundai Tuscon for the truck and got 5600 for it. Drove the truck off the lot on April 27, 2013.
I have had the truck for just over a month and the gas mileage was getting to be too much so i decided to look into trading it off. I went to a Honda delearship where the saleperson asked me the usual questions about the truck and then asked if the truck was in an accident which to my knowledge I truthfully stated that it has not been. In a matter of a few minutes, the salesperson came back with a Carfax report that was 5 pages instead of 2 that I was shown back in April and there is a report that the truck was in an accident. I was shocked and got angry as this was never disclosed to me before I purchased the truck and I would not have purchased any car/truck that has been in an accident.
I went to Superstition Springs Chrystler Jeep Dodge and talked with two managers who then stated that have contacted the General Manager and because it is Sat, I will need to wait for a call back this week to see what the research was of the accident and damage the truck had occured.
The salesperson at this delearship did not approach me and when I told the manager why I was there, the sales person left the showroom. I'm upset because I was not provided with the full report and I feel that this wasn't right. I wasn't given the full disclosure.
The dealership stated that the truck is a Certified Pe-Owned Ram truck and that I shouldn't have been that upset. I stated that the truck was purchased in April and the driver side window motor was going out since day one. I did not notice this prior to purchasing due to the fact that it was extrememly hot outside and the A/C was on during the test drive. Exactly what is checked in the truck to make it certified?
The fact of the matter is, I was not given the full disclosure of the report stating that the truck was in an accident by the sales person who only showed me two pages of the report and the first page that was shown had the top portion of the report cut/removed showing that the truck had been reported as being in an accident.
**The manager Jim Fox at the dealership called me Tues stating that the GM, Ken, has put in a call with Carfax to find out about the accident and was waiting for a call back. Haven't received a call today, Wed, nor a call from the GM.
I no longer wish to file this complaint. not sure how to delete this. I have been contacted Ken Murray and I met with Jim Fox today and I drove away in a 2013 Kia Sorento. I'm so very happy as the dealership allowed for the, return of the truck. I feel that this dealership took the time to research my complaint and when I still wasn't happy, they did everything in their power to make me happy. There isn't another dealership out there that would actually care how a customer feels once a car/truck has been purchased and I know for a fact that this dealership does not feel or think that way and that their customers are truly important to them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
