The UPS Store review: store closed during open hours

Last Friday, July 5, 2019, I was standing outside UPS store 6455 at 4:45 pm,
in front of a locked door and a sign saying it was open until 5 pm.
The website also mentions that closing hour. There was no handwritten note
taped to the door explaining that the owner's mother was sick so he had to close the store
to take her to the hospital. Not even a scribbled "sorry".

I had printed out a pre-paid label for my package, so I couldn't just go down the
street to FedEx. This morning, Monday, I took my package in. Then I asked
who had made the decision to close early Friday. One very faithful employee,
a tall blond white guy, lied to my face that he worked that shift Friday and the store
was NOT closed. He should work for the President! But another employee told me
that it was "the boss" who made that decision, and gave me the business card
of Sagar Patel, owner.

Well, it's not the end of the world. My package is now on its way. Big deal. But
it was not good business practice, and it does ensure that I will go to FedEx next time.
By the way, three other customers were also present, one sitting in his truck, he said,
since 4:30. All of us went away disgruntled.

That's no way to run a business.
