Shell - powerball lottery

I usually buy my gas here and have a rewards card. Last night on 2/6/2019 at 830pm I went inside to buy a lottery ticket. The guy rang it up then told me "You know they charge an additional.50 cents for lottery here!"- I said Äre you kidding me? He said Nope -.50 cents additional! I said "No, NO thank you!" and left.
