My son gave me the $100 Vanilla gift card in May for my birthday. I activated the card a few days later & confirmed the $100 balance. However, I waited a few days and then attempted to use the card on June 5 and was told by merchant that the card was only valid For $.09 CENTS. Returned home, called Vanilla & was informed that right after the activation, someone placed an order to ALIBABA at 1:02 am & used $99.01! It was Not Me, considering. i’m well over 80++ years young….I complained; the case #[protected]. Yesterday, I received Vanilla’s replacement card in the unacceptable amount of $.09 Cents. Obviously your Company must have an issue with one of its contactors because whoever has access to the credit cards before they are packaged, etc, & has access to the number, is able to access & make purchases as soon as actual Purchaser Activates the card. The actual recipient of the Vanilla card is Never able to utilize the gift. Will Never use or recommend Vanilla Gift cards.

I hope you made your purchase already. I purchased a Vanilla Gift card in December, I want to purchase Christmas presents for my husband without him finding out what I bought before Christmas. I used our credit card last year and the bank called him told him the name of the company and the amount and asked if they should allow the charge. There you go, he knew what he was getting for Christmas. So, I thought get the Vanilla Gift card and this won't happen. It didn't! Nope, I tried to make the first purchase, it wouldn't go through, tried again, wouldn't go through. I called and found that there was $1.14 available on my $1,000.00 gift card. Someone in Russa used it to gamble online.
I called Vanilla Gift card, and they were going to look into the charges. I kept calling and calling. Then finally I was told they would issue a new card with the full available balance of $1,000.00. I received my card on January 11, 2025. I purchase $253.00 from City Beauty. That purchase went through. Then on May 11, 2025 I tried to purchase a new Coach purse. The sale would NOT go through. Why because I had an available balance of $1.00 on my card. It's now June 13, 2026, and I am still trying to get my $747.00 back. They tell me the claim has been resolved and a I now have $747.00 available. However, before I can try to buy something, the people that keep stealing from all of money from Vanilla Gift cards steals my money AGAIN!
I don't know who is doing this, but it seems that Vanilla Gift Card should have someone or could hire someone that would be able to find the people that are doing this. Yes, I know the IP address are all over the place. One time they are here then over there. Then over here, then over there. I know tracking this down would be time consuming, but it's grand theft. Vanilla Gift Card could say that "we will give the person or persons that figure this out and have the people brought to justice and give them a 1% to 5% of the balances as an award. You can't tell me that they wouldn't have all kinds of people trying to figure this out. I don't know if Vanilla Gift card just hopes that people like me will get tired of this and move on, but that's not me. It doesn't matter to me if I bought the card or if someone else bought the card for me and even if my balance is $00.09 it's mine and I will fight for it.
We could do a class action lawsuit but the only people that come out on top are the lawyers. But Vanilla Gift Cards HAS GOT TO DO SOMETHING!
