Walmart would not fulfill obligation of contract

Waited patiently for the warranty to kick in after the manufactured warranty expired. As soon as the phone was answered the first thing that Linda did was try to find out how she could not full fill the obligation. The contract specifically said that it would repair my device if humidity was the problem. No where in the contract did it say that if Apple would not fix my product they would not. As a matter of fact it specifically said that it would fix my product when the manufaturer would not!
Do not bother with Walmarts extended warranty, it's just a ruse to steal your money.

Walmart not enough cashiers

It's 3 days untill Christmas. Wal-Mart has about 30 registers, but only 5 of them are open. The lines are unbelievble! This is rediculous! There is no excuse for this at all. Not enough help only means that the managers are going to get a bigger bonus for having less payroll hours. This is very unfortunate for their customers yet they wont change it or even care. Why? Because Wal-mart has gotten big enough to put all their competetors out of business.

You know it is very true. Walmart also has this new thing called a "scorecard" which means that if you work in a certain area of the store let's say apparel and you are cross-trained in being a cashier, you can not go up to the register to help out all because of this new scorecard business. However, the problem with that is one day the rules stick and then the next day they don't.

Walmart unprofessional workers

I had some holiday photos taken of my family and purchased the copyrirght released cd from the company nationalstudiosinc. I took the cd into walmart developed some photos to give out at chritsmas time, (From the cd the clearly states copyrightrelease). When it came time to pay for these photos, he uneducated person behind the counter would not let me have them. She said she need a signed copy paper if I was going to copy photos... I asked for a manager. When the ast. Manager got there I got the same bull story from her. I could not mke these people understnd I printed the photos from the released disk, they insisted I was doing somthing illeagal. I left the store called the comany I got the disk from and the have never had the issue before, you tell who the idiot is... I even tried to get them to phot copy the disk. It is no wonder we cannot get decent service anymore!

Most of the Photo Depts have paperwork that you can fill out or have the photographer fill out. I used to be a photomanager at Walgreens and most of the time even though the CD said there was a release, they may require written authorization on the photographers letterhead. The fine for the store is about $200, 000 if for some reason the photographer ever came back and said, " I didnt print that on the CD", and then decided to sue. I would suggest if you can get the photographer to fax you a release, you can give that to Walmart.

Walmart refund being sent to wrong address

Don't even bother with this crap! I got a Wal-Mart money card today so I could buy my kids something online for Christmas. I didn't realize I had typed my address in it incorrect and long story short it denied my activation and is now sending a refund check to the WRONG address. I call up customer service and after a half hour non human communication it sends me to a real person who within 1 minute after explaining my situation to her says there is nothing they could do, since I was prompted to check my address before I submitted the form. I am a single mom who recently lost her job and I am on a VERY tight income, I have three children. I am almost in tears over this because I basically lost 65 dollars! I am so mad! Don't even give them your business!

Trevor please cease with your hatred of blacks, get a life and check the welfare rolls, you will find more of your people on it than blacks.

Getting into the important matter, why is it when customer's make mistakes that they are CLEARLY at fault for, it's such as issue to accept PERSONAL responsibility, then move on with the consequences. You typed in the wrong address, thus making things hard for yourself. No one did this but you and now, just like most entitled feeling jerks, you blame the company for their rule on how to handle this. I can't stand customers like you.

Walmart fraud

I was given a Visa debit card from WalMart. When I went to use it I needed an activation code printed on the receipt. I asked the group who gave me the card and they did not have the receipt. I was told at Walmart there was nothing that can be done. I think this is fraudulent. I would like to hear from others with this predicament. I would like to bring a suit against Visa and WalMart.

My husbands debit card numbers were stolen recently and used at walmart.com. We caught the transaction quickly and called before the items were shipped out. We were told we would receive a refund. A week later my husband called to get the status of the transaction only to find the items were shipped and we will not be given a refund. We were not entitled to know the items we purchased or the location of the shipment. We were victimized by having our checking account hacked into and walmart wouldn't as much as apologize for the incident. The most humorous aspect of this situation is that a company called CA Sunnyvale ARCOT systems charged my account shortly before the walmart transaction. I later was told from my bank that they are hired by Walmart to make sure that the credit card is not stolen. I paid for that service...go figure!

On Jan. 13th 2010 I received a call from my 84 year old mother at my home saying my bank had called and said my checking account had been compromised. I rushed to my bank leaving work. I was informed that the banks fraud department had a few other instances of check fraud and that the one thing the victims had in common was that they wrote checks at the Walmart in Crestwood, IL.

I told my bank that the only checks I wrote were to pay bills and to Walmart in Crestwood as well. I went home found my receipts for the checks I wrote to Walmart dating all the way to June of 09 with the last check being written there on Dec. 23, 09.

I called the Walmart and the manager James McAlpine said he had no knowledge of any fraud occurring by his employees at his store. I gave him my receipt info which told what tellers checked me out. Someone else from the store then called me back and said they were checking into it but it was circumstantial at best.

I called Crestwood police who told me they had gotten other complaints re: that particular store but that I needed to file a report with the police where I lived, which I then went and did.

I called the Crestwood store the next day, the 14th, demanding to have my bank reimbursed as well as myself for the time off work needed to straighten this whole mess out. I went back to the bank on the 14th as well, to sign affidavits and was told that an 88 year old woman on social security, just had the same thing happen to her. She wrote a check to Walmart in Crestwood as well.

I called Wallmart again on the 14th and told them I would go to the media. I immediately received a call back from the head of the southside stores, Chris at [protected]. He told me they were aware of what was going on but that the Secret Service was involved as this was a 4 state operation and if I went to the media the people involved who pack there bags and go some where else and they would not get the ones making the checks. That day I also received a call from Dave Prendergast from the Secret Sevice Chicago field office [protected] who basically told me the same thing but added that I should not be so upset as the banks were the ones who were really losing money. He also states that he was in the store on Dec 23rd and was aware of the employee performing the act. I was also told that I was the 40th victim! I was told that soon the media would be informed as to what went on at that store.

I called Walmart head branch 1800 Walmart, with my complaint as well and was told I wold here from someone in 3 to 5 business days.

I received a call from my bank on the 15th saying my account was in overdraft and could I deposit more money. I started to cry and scream about how I had no other money and that Walmart should be putting the money back as they were the ones allowing this to continue in the name of a greater good. I told my bank what I was told re: the fraud by the Secret Service as well. I called the Walmart headquarters again on the 15th and told them I needed to speak with someone now. I was told the same thing 3 to 5 business days. I called Dave at the Secret Service and complained that he needed to let the banks know what was going on. I have not heard from him since.

Since that time my accounts remain in a mess and on Friday the 23rd I called Walmart again and told them I had not received a call yet and it was over 5 business days, I was told that now my complaint would be given to the next person up and he would call me in 3 to 5 business days!

So here I wait... Walmart's slogan, Save money, Live Better should instead be: Walmart Employees will take your money so your life becomes a living HELL!

Does Walmart care...come on what do you think!

On August 4th 2009 my mother in law sent me 2, 000 Euro from Spain, using MoneyGram services. In the same day two persons picked up this money in North Carolina (I live in Chicago!), using a fake driver license and all the secret informations needed for this transaction. One of them- that is what the police found- was "an employee at the business" who had access to the MoneyGram system. Location: Walmart Store#***9.
I consider Walmart responsible for this, because one of those suspects was an Walmart employee.
Lets' see how long it will take them to convince me they are innocent.

Two consecutive Saturdays, my identity was stolen by criminals who fraudulently opened up instant credit with Walmart on line. I spent HOURS trying to fix this last week, and filed with the credit b's for identity theft to have me notified by cell if ANY new credit activity. WALMART ignored this and gave another creep instant credit with MY info. There is almost no way to contact a live person on the week-ends or after hours and crooks know this.

We need INSTANT humans for trouble not just INSTANT credit to benefit the stores.

I have loved to do my shopping at Walmart here in Florida. There has been several problems with employees some nice, and some rude. I have continued shopping there. But today is the last straw. I had to ask 4 employees where, i can find an item, some would point in the direction where i can find it. another said in the stationary department. That item was not located in the stationary department. I saw another employee and walked as i was trying to get his attention.by speaking. The casher's are bagging incorrectly. No more of this ludicrious chain of stores. I hate the rudeness towards the customers. We are paying their salary.

On more then one occasion when i was checking my email i would get a sudden notice informing me that i am a lucky winner of a $1000.00 walmart card. All i had to do was to take a 5 minute survey and upon completion i would just have to verify my mailing address as to facilitate the delivery of my free walmart card. What happens however is they run you through a battery of different products that you have to purchase by giving up your credit card number. They try to make you believe that you don't have to purchase anything however you don't get any walmart card without a purchase. Even with a purchase i don't believe a walmart card is ever delivered. After closing the site i received a phone call from the company in question, it was by the way a computer generated call giving me a number to call for a free $ 40.00 visa gift card for my trouble of doing the survey. I called the number out of curiosity only to be asked more qualifying questions. No longer was i an automatic winner of a $40.00 visa gift card but only a possible winner.Obviously this secondary company using walmarts name intends to sell products to you and never intends on giving anything in return. Walmart is just as responsible for this fraud as the company that contacted me and i am not done here.

Actually the secret service was created in 1865 specifically to suppress counterfeit money. Protecting the president nowadays maybe what they are most known for but that is a very small part of what they do. They mostly deal with issues regarding currency(i.e. money laundering, check fraud, printing counterfeit currency). The FBI does as well... it is just an example of overlapping govt bureaucracies.

Merchants almost always get screwed with payment card fraud anyway since the rules are written by the card issuers, so going to Walmart is barking up the wrong tree since no sane merchant would initiate the chargeback process. You need to have your bank reverse the charges. You might need to sign an affidavit saying you did not make the purchase, but federal law limits cardholders to $0 of liability for card not present transactions which is the case for all e-commerce situations. I used to work for a fraud prevention program, so I know how the system works. If the front line workers at the bank give you a hard time demand to speak to a manager, but any competently run bank shouldn't fight back too much.

You are being given the run-around. The Secret Service does not investigate actions like this - that is the territory of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation). You need to go to the Police Department where you filed your report and get a copy of it. If possible, get the name of the officer that told you there have been multiple reports of this incident. Take that copy of your report and go directly to the District Attorney's office that covers the location of that particular Wal-Mart. Speak to them about the situation and inform them that you have been told there are other incidences besides yours and, if you managed to get it, the name of the officer that gave you this information. The District Attorney's office will be able to tell you what to do from there and may well proceed with an investigation of their own. Good luck!

Walmart moneygram

I purchased a Moneygram money order from WalMart. I made it payable to Riverside County Animal Shelter for my dogs license, however I received it back from them stating our city animal licenses were taken care of through another animal shelter.

I took the money order and the receipt back to the Walmart where I had purchased it. The "assistant manager" told me they wouldn't give me my money back even though I told her that I had already called Moneygram and was instructed to write on the back of the check "not used for purpose intended" then endorse it with my name.
She obviously was an idiot. I was very angry which prompted her to be nasty, telling me that if she wanted she could just tell me to go to another store, etc. etc. Telling her again obvious just pissed her off. My husband stepped in and told her she could talk to him. After calling in another "assistant manager" who knew less than the first one, this assistant manager told my husband "why don't you take the money order to the animal shelter and see if they will cash it for you".
Then told him "well we haven't taken the Moneygram class yet, we will know more after we take it". So in other words no one at any of the Walmarts I went to for this situation knows or cares about how to take care of this.

Walmart harrasment by loss prevention

My Mother is 95 and weighs even less. She is confined to wheel chair and on oxygeon She was harrassed, searched and humilated in full view of shoppers by greeter . We went in store, alarm sounded, we stopped. The greeter did NOT come over, we shopped and paid for items. As we left alarm sounded again. We stopped then proceeded out, Greeter came flying out the door, yelling" You are suppose to stop not keep going." we went back in, she was already in middle of store, she screamed at us to " get over here" We quickly showed her our purchases along with reciepts but that was not good enough. Meanwhile several cashiers gathered around us, shoppers were galking. She searched around Mother in wheel chair, in her oxgeon tank, then took her purse away from Mom. She ran it through scanner and said something made a sound. Greeter admitted she heard alarm when we came in but she did nothing at that time. They never explained why the alarm went off. I called the manager the next day. He was loud, belligerent and told me to never come in the store again, then he hung up on me.
My Mother is terrified to go into store again after this horrible treatment. Its a shame as getting out and going to Walmart is one of the few things she USED to look forward to.

We had a Short overbearing Loss Prevention in Central Square NY; run up to me and my mother in the parking lot a few months ago and state that we were banned from the store for returning items too many items with or without receipts and were taking bottles and cans out of the trash. So we just started shopping at the Cicero NY Walmart and about two weeks ago the same LP from Central Square stopped us again and told us that we were banned from all Walmart's not just the one in Central Square. I told him show me the papers that state that we were banned and he told me that he did not have to show them to me and if we returned he would call the cops on us. I told him fine we do not have to shop at Walmart at all and get better quality from other stores anyhow. I am sure that I am not the only one in this area that has a problem with that Loss Prevention person; because he has the personality of most power hungry dictators that will probably drive customers out of the Central Square Walmart and cause the store to close.

Walmart rude customer service, unhelpful

I purchased a 50.00 Gift Card from Walmart back in August as a gift for my mother-in-law only to find out when she went to use it 2 weeks later that it only had 1.67 on it. We researched the purchases to discover that they had been made back in JUNE! So I was told by 15 seperate people that I would be receiving the money, after two times of FIGHTING with a rep that there was NO WAY I am filing a dispute claim since there was NO WAY we made the purchases. One customer service rep told me that for the hassle I would be credited 10.00, later to be told that the only way I can receive that 10 dollars is by purchasing ANOTHER walmart card. Once I received the refund check of 53.95 on October 18th. (Remember I purchased the card August 1st.) Then I called Walmart C. Service to verify that I would receive the 10+activiation, which I was guaranteed.. So I called the day before Thanksgiving 11-24-09 and was told I would get a phone call back from a supervisor that same day, and imagine that... Today, 12-9-09 I still had not received a phone call from a supervisor. So I called in and FAUGHT for my money. Except I was told I will not be allowed to get the activiation fee back. So Finally on 12-9-09 I was told that I would get my 10 dollars minus the activation fee back. I am extremely heated about Walmart and honestly try to tell everyone DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR GIFTCARDS or MONEYCARDS. Walmart is AWFUL at customer service.

Walmart horrible employees

So tired of Walmart always being out of stock on things. We were searching for a camcorder and found the one we wanted. We went up to the checkout to get someone to help us and was told to go back to the camera area and someone would be there soon. 15 min later we managed to flag someone from that department down who told us she didnt even work in that department (mind you i saw her in that department working..hmm) I got mad and started getting loud. All we wanted to know is if they had this particular camera in stock or did any come in? She looked dumbfounded till a co-manager of some sort just happened by and told her she could scan the item tag to see if they had any in stock. Low and behold they did but it was in a bin in the back and they didn't have a key to get into it. Isn't he the manager. I was like fine don't go work and get it out but can you tell me if any other stores have it in stock. My boyfriend wanted it tonight and really liked that one. She wrote everything down and went and checked. The Clay store had one. I told her to tell the girl to hold it we would be over. Even thanked her when none of them in that department were organized or even cared about the peoply buying hundreds of dollars of electronic equipment...

We drove to Clay and went to the back of the store where the Clerk Mindy pulled out the wrong damn camera. I told her no that wasn't the right one. She said she had confirmed it with the other girl who clearly was a damn ### to me now. I have to say the Clerk Mindy was very helpful and we actually bought a cheaper camera her store offered when she tried to help us telling us that she had tons of complaints from that store because they always seemed to be having problems.

What a bunch of crap...sending us on a wild goose chase after we had to practically drag someone to help us BUY something from the store.

Walmart walmart steals from employees

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a concern person that’s works for Wal-Mart. We work very hard every single day at very low pay and wait for our bonuses every quarter. I only received $7 bucks in my check only as a bonus. I come to find out I hear the store manager has been taking our bonuses and giving them to the schools here. Meanwhile, making sure he got his bonus, many persons and I did not give permission to do this. We also know he is the president of the PTA in which he gets paid for. In my mind that is embellishment of company funds that belong to the employees. I am seriously thinking of getting a lawyer for not only me but for all the employees of your Wal-Mart Store in Pahrump, Nevada. So to let you know I am sending this letter to all News Networks and News Papers. To show them how selfish someone can be to steal but do it right under your noses.

Now looking for a Lawyer!

My wife has worked for Wal-Mart for 9 years. The first few years her bonuses were between $500 and $1000. Then she received a new manager and her bonuses dropped to below $100. During that time we moved to Tennessee and her bonus she received was over $800. We moved back to our hometown and her bonuses dropped to below $100. The store in our hometown has a substantially higher sales volume than the one in Tennessee. Due to this and other evidence, I belive the stories I've been hearing about how the manager has been using the store bonus money to constantly remodel the store, instead of paying the bonuses. The manager was also severely understaffing the departments, especially the cashiers so she could increase her bonuses. She also decreased the full time employees’ hours to the min. and hired part-timers at a lower wage to increase her bonus potential. She has severely damaged the financial security of many of the families that depend on that income to survive. In reply to Scotty1998 they can redistribute the money to things other than paying the hard earned bonuses the employees deserve. The example I give is the difference between the caring manager in Tennessee and the selfish manager in Ohio.

I was gonna say, it would be impossible for any management to steal money out of any associate's check since the checks come directly from headquarters in Bentonville Arkansas. I think your information is slightly flawed. Walmart does not run like any Ma and Pa store where the money comes from a single person. Everything at Walmart is corporately run and your paycheck comes from corporate directly. Sorry to say.

Actually meebabi, I work at the same store as Stacy. The store manager did not steal from her bonus, she willing signed up to give her bonus to the schools and changed her mind and wanted her money back after her husband lost his job and she had trouble making ends meet, she has four children to feed. She is a hard worker but she is threatening to spread these lies to the media if she does not get her money back(which she concented on donating. Infact there is a list of those who donated on the wall by the employee lunch room and I would not be surprised if she only donated her bonus to look like a good citizen then beg for her bonus back and still be on the list of those that donated. Also she bad mouths our store manager all the time. I don't know if he got his bonus or not, that is no one's business and I find it weird that stacy would know his business, however she has told me she would be posting this on online blogs, contacting newspapers ect until she gets her bonus(which she willingly donated) back. She is even using her children to making them look desperate to get her money back.

I wish you the best of luck, that is awful! I work in the retail industry as well and it is a job where a lot is expected of you for very little pay. Although I am not fortunate enough to receive any bonuses (I don't even get a discount!) I would most certainly be appalled if someone where to take part or all of my bonus away from me without my knowledge & consent!

Walmart ear piece breaks off

I went to Walmart Vision Center in Charlotte NC, had my eyes examined for perscription lens. I chose the Caribbean Sun frames. The cost was over $250.00 After 1 month the ear piece fell off. We were out of the country and could not return the glasses within the 90 day warrenty. Shortly after 90 days Walmart Vision Center refused to back their product. Next I decided to try to get new frames for the broken glasses. I found the Caribbean Sun website with no contact info. It seems that this product is made in China which is known for poor quality. I have also been to other vision centers and haven't been able to find a frame that my lens will fit. It seems that I will have to eat the loss.
Signed, Richard

As far as the eye protection of these glasses they are the best I have ever owned. Unfortunately they were stepped on and all broken. Can't find another pair of Edisto.

My lens fell out...glass so shattered. Emailed got no response. Finally found a number and called. Got a call back...said for me to download and fill out form to submit. Would take approx. 6 weeks to get a lens. I explained I didn't keep back up sunglasses...it's summer...6 weeks is nuts. I was hoping to order and pay now...get lens shipped...no such luck. Online now looking for sunglasses...came across this and had to chime in. Good glasses, but good luck if anything goes wrong! Nonexistent customer service / parts ordering.

Fully agree with Richard H and robbie, and can't understand alterior's response. Alterior, when the lens falls out, that's a bad product, and it's largely the frame's fault, not the lens'. Also, lacking a website (now can't even find it), and or having no contact information is suspicious. I wish I'd read Richard H's complaint before I got mine, which have been unable to maintain the ear-spacing (weak nose-bridge keeps allowing the frames to bend and twist), dropped a lens (and when you're wearing them, that can be a hazard; and it happened to me), and are so darn flimsy they twist and lose shape even when very gently handled. I will not use or recommend Caribbean Sun.

I disagree, I bought a Caribbean Sun frame from Wal Mart to use as prescription sunglasses. Over 2 years, and constant abuse, frequent droppings, lens poping out, and metal is finally peeling off the high wear zones the sunglasses still keep on working. The frame to me is perfect, everything I'd want in a pair of sunglasses.

I'm considering going to walmart to purchase another pair because in my opinion it is a high quality product, especially for the price, at 150$ for polarized, prescription sunglases there is hardly any wrong. Less then 75$ a year, less then 5$ a day, these sunglasses more then made up.

Also, at doing the math I am quite surprised that it is roughly 5$/day payoff for a purchase of 150$. Would've thought it'd be much less.

They are now hiring people to help you in the store who don't speak english! When I needed some help there was only a girl who only spoke spanish avaliable. When we couldn't figure out what i needed I left the store not purchacing anything. I called to talk to the manager later, he became defensive and said that they could hire who they want and hung up on...

Walmart fake price matching ad

My daughter went to Walmart, which boasts on their tv ad that they will match "any" ad of "any" store so you have one stop shopping, to purchase the WII fit, on sale at Meijer for 44. 99, this was on Thanksgiving day. She was promptly told that Walmart did not have ANY WII fits in stock and neither did ANY of the Walmart stores. How very convenient that none of the shelves were stocked with these items which beforehand were full of these items. Poo poo to Walmart's HELPING us out with our Christmas shopping - only when it is convenient for them.

Our family is seriously considering not shopping at Walmart any longer.

May seem like a dumb question but if Meijer had the product on sale, then why not just buy it at Meijer?

Walmart computor

I was at the wal mart on Black Friday to try and purchase a laptop.I arrived at 330 knowing that the sale didn't start until 500a, I went to the area with the map and was told that the vouchers for the laptops were all gone. Since when did Walmart have this type of sale going on. I have been to Walmart on Black Friday several times, and this has never happened, when did they change there rules for Black Friday sales. I have shopped at walmart several times, this had made me very mad and dont know if I will continue to shop there. I know I am only 1 person but I am very upset with your new policy.. Pat Hanna

This was probably an earlybird sale, and first comes = first served. Hard to see where WM is at fault here. Wake up earlier next year, if you truly want to have a laptop that has last year's technology on it (all these BF sales are essentially outdated merchandise).

Walmart customer service and the difficulty of activation

The buyer tried to activate the card and all went well until she tried to use the debit/credit (Visa). While trying to put some money on the phone, it was rejected?
Then she proceeded to call customer service and the woman on the phone was terribly rude. The purchaser then demanded a supervisor and was shut down. The customer service representative himhawed around and said the mistake was a street address entry. The purchaser supposidly told her the street numbers and not the house address. Then the Rep. explained that the money will be refunded back on the card on Dec. 5th. Mind you, it was purchased on 11/24/09!
Well, forcing the issue, the purchaser demanded once again to see a superviser. This time she was shut down again but with a promise that her money would be refunded within 2 business days. Readers, these type of cards are a sham! Take my advice, steer clear of the too good to be true prepaid and reloadable debit/credit card(s). Consumers Beware!

Walmart walmart took my checks without my id. if they had not done this they would have known they were stolen.

I had several checks stolen. Wal-mart took them without ID. If they had ask for ID they would have known the checks were stolen. Now I have pressed charges, Opened a new account, and closed the old one.

It may not be your check that was given to the cashier. They take the routing number and the account number and use a program called "Quicken" and within a few seconds on a printer with blank check stock, they can have their names on the check and you without a single dollar in your account.

As soon as you know your checks are stolen, close the account and make sure that all bills are paid in full before doing so. Then open another account. So when the run the check in the check reader, the check will bounce. (That is why the numbers on the bottom of the check look so funny).

I worked for Walmart and the only time they told us to ask for ID for anything is if the register asked for a birthdate. If there was no birthdate asked, we were to take anything, credit cards or checks and even sell alcohol and cigs. Its an awful place. That is why I am no longer there and will never go back.
