Walmart review: unsafe/dangerous practices ( 9 comments)

I recently shopped in this Walmart, while at the customer service counter, I noticed some frozen foods and some packaged meat in a shopping cart for restock. Natually I had to take a picture of this and feel them, the frozen was thawed and at room temp, along with the packaged beef. After shopping around, I noticed they were sorting the restocks, and watched the stock clerk return these items to the freezers. These items had been out for several hours and should have been destroyed. I also noticed at a check out there was frozen product sitting that had be allowed the thaw and reach room temps. Also there was thawed frozen products on the shelves around the grocery area. This was late in the evening and there were SEVERAL stock clerks around with apparantly nothing to do let alone take care of this dangerous product. I will NOT be shopping at Walmart again. These practices are much more than unprofessional, they are downright dangerous. Employees did not seem to mind me taking photos of these products while several of them saw me or even notice what I was photographing

All you people who complain about Walmart. Email your complains to BBB at bbb.com. I see thousands of complains in sites that Walmart could not care less about and one complain to BBB WILL be answered. Regardless on how big the company is, ther credit rating in bbb effects their credibility. Hit this small business killer where it hurts.
Their credit rating is A+ and this is the same company that used the slogan " We buy American, We sell American" for years. Remember that?

All your complains WILL be answered only if you submit to BBB. Walmart executives are not stupit, they have been counting on the normal Joe's stupidity for years.
Complain to BBB.com and get response faster that you think

Definitely different than my Walmart! We dispose of anything cold, even of has been out of the freezer for just 5 minutes. We also get rid of any food items that have been returned whether its boxed, canned, or bagged.

After a huge layoff w a large construction Co. my husband took a job with walmart, WoW all I can say for the lack of training to managers... you should be ashamed! I hear how they are treated as employees The things that are said to them that is " constructive" NOT OK! Any lack that you see at the store level can only be at the allowance of upper management. How far up the blame goes, well @ some point each store will blame mid management or corporate. If you see abuse of an employee or of basic common since please report it. My husband cant loose this job until he finds a new one. We have all worked for people that have no BIZ. bossing your dog around let alone a person. Lets stand for the people who are in slaved to poor managment reguardlees of the company they work for and poor customer service everywhere. Wal-Mart hides behind there great prices but the cost of the dignity for a avrage joe who is trying to keep his family off state aid is now more money than I am willing to pay! UNDER COVER BOSS, YOU CANT BE AROUND ENOUGH FOR THE CRAP THAT HAPPENS IN THIS COMPANY !

One other thought. Walmart is a global conglomerate. Why do we say "well its WalMart" NOO people they should be held to a higher standard because they have the power to make things right and choose not to! Its not Kay's 5 and dime store, where you can say, "well its a local store w little biz. so they have to skimp." Walmart's big wigs are not driving a 1991 dodge caravan! Demand more! I am a business advisor and in retail management for more than 20 years. Trust me they need to really train the employee's. Lets start with management. Most of us know what crossing the line training is or how to treat your staff... lets start here and set the bar for clean stores and a happy work environment. This will benefit us all, without a large investment on Walmarts end. Follow with a position for someone to check in as a go-between for employees, management and customers. Lets take all suggestions seriously. PS Ill take that job!
