My husband and I hired Semper Solaris for a new roof and additional solar panels. We had them install our original solar panels about 8-9 years ago and did not have any issues.

This time, our project has been fraught with disasters! First, the roof inspection was delayed a day secondary to the foreman not having the paperwork posted in front of our house. This caused the roof installation to be delayed a day and so a 2 day job became a 1 day "rush" job. With a brand new, >40K new roof - the roofers weaved our valley crooked, used our old dormer vent which they were originally going to throw away but then decided to use a 20+year dormer vent. Our vents were mis-aligned and my husband had to re-align them.

Next, when they placed the old solar panels back up and put the new solar panels on - the solar installation crew did not know what they were doing and caused a lot of damage to the new roof shingles. My husband took pictures and sent them to Semper Solaris and the "head roofing manager" called and said that there was a lot of damage to the shingles and they needed to repair it. When the roofer who was supposed to fix the damaged shingles came out, he said that there was no possible way to fix the damage that was done because those shingles had the solar conduits/brackets installed on them and it would cause more damage and so he said it could not be done.

We advised Semper Solaris that since they are unable to fix the damage that they caused, we would like a credit since the damage was caused by their solar installation team.

As of now (40 +days later), we still do not have any resolution to our situation. Our solar panels are still not inspected.

We have sent multiple e-mails and called (although not able to reach anyone through their terrible customer service number which makes you just leave a message) and still have not had anyone to provide us with a clear resolution to our issue. Our complaint keeps getting passed from person to person and the new person does not understand all of the issues that we have already gone through.
