Good Afternoon,
I'm reaching out to you in the hope that someone can help me recover/unban my activision account. As you can see from this trail, I have been receiving automated messages from Activision since the 27th august regarding this and I'm concerned that this has just fallen by the wayside. I have also had contact from Activision to inform me my account is permanently banned, which has stated I have allegedly used unauthorized software and manipulation of game data.
This all began on Friday the 25th august when I received an email from Activision to say my account Poppadom Trims#6840931 had been linked to a 'Battle Account' Teqefagu#2724. I didn't immediately do anything but tried to log on to Call of Duty MW2 on saturday the 26th and couldn't, seeing instead a message telling me I was banned. My next step was to log onto Activision and try to 'unlink' this Battle Account, it's a two-step authentication process which I seemed to make a mess off and ended up raising this account recovery process. I then subsequently raised a request to unban my account which I received what looks very much like an automated reply to say that the ban is upheld and permanent.
That's the background on it. I've been so busy recently, it's not until now I've had a chance to look into this further and see if there is anything I can do to challenge this at all. To say I'm bewildered as to why I've been banned would be an understatement. Clearly the charge is some form of cheating and I'm aware it's rife in COD as I've been on the receiving end of it enough times. I've played these titles since 2012 and have never cheated, have never been banned and wouldn't even know how to, i couldn't even navigate a two step authentication without messing it up. I play on PS5 and prior to that PS4 and PS3, as far as I'm aware, it's not even possible to cheat on consoles which makes this even more bizzare. Surely Activision have access to data that would show that what I say is 100% true and it would seem so ridiculous that I would suddenly start cheating after 10 years playing your titles. It just doesn't make sense. I don't have the facts but can only surmise that this Teqefagu#2724 has hacked my Activision account and linked it to a Battle Account(whatever the heck that is) to cheat using my sign on. It's the only plausible explanation that I can think of. I would have thought that Activision could check log ons to my account, check the IP of whoever linked this account and clearly see that it wasn't my IP that I would usually use to log in with.
I just want this sorted and am very disappointed there appears to be no recourse. I'm the victim and am actually being punished for it which to my mind is quite incredible, I've never heard of anything like it. I have taken to Reddit to see if anyone else had similar issues and it would appear I'm not the only one. I've been advised to request that you(Activision) show me proof of my alleged cheating that led to this ban and also to cite Article 15 of the GDPR regulations. I really don't want to be a complete pest in this way but have been left with zero choice due to Activision's unfair policy. There is the principle of the matter too, Ive paid money for a product that you now deny me without a valid reason that you can show me. That's not right and I am amazed this is legal for you to do although I'm gathering a company the size of Activision would have done due diligence on something like that, so must be.
At the end of the day, I'm just a 45yr old guy who likes to spend a bit down time playing Warzone with his mates, more of a social thing for a group of 5 or 6 of us on the regular and a good way to keep in touch and just have a chat too. I'm not very good at the game but enjoy playing nevertheless. I would very much appreciate it if someone could take the time to examine my situation and I'm extremely confident that if someone did it would be perfectly obvious that everything I have stated is absolutely true. I have included all details that may be of relevance to my gaming accounts and also my personal contact details should these be of any help to resolve this matter.

I am emailing you because I have recently been put under review and I am now in lobbies that are difficult to play. I am having a difficult time understanding why you feel it necessary to put someone in a shadow ban lobby while they are under review with no reason other than someone has reported them. The way this process works we are guilty until proven innocent. I am not banned I am under review, and that means I should not be punished until you find a reason to do so. I pay for my game the same as everyone else, in fact I always buy the more expensive version to get all the game perks and because someone is upset that they have died, or don't like something that has been said, they are capable of mass reporting and getting someone removed from the game. If you are going to continue to do this process of shadow ban before investigation than make the game free. I am paying you for a service and I feel that I am not fully receiving the services I have paid for. I am not the only player that is having this issue, you are causing your players to go play other games. With a new game coming out I think it would be beneficial to you to take care of your customers and SUPPORTERS that keep paying for your games. I would like a response back.

Desired outcome: Before limiting players on their gameplay investigate the incident first. If someone is truly not playing the game right then take action but do not take action before you know.

I made many request and you guys keep saying unable to process request when the request is the unban my account because it was hacked this is unbelievable. I was not at home the time the account was hacked I was at the navy bootcamp, I would like to be able to play the game again with my friends I spent a good amount of money for the customer support to be this none-understanding. I would love for you guys to be able to process this request or bring this request to a higher up, there isn't anything I could've done at the time. I have been falsely accused of editing game files and using unauthorized software while playing Call of Duty, I ran an application named Monotone which is a Hardware ID spoofer. I had forgot what it did, so I ran it (Call of Duty was not open during this) and then I hadn't played Call of Duty for at least a week. Today, I opened Call of Duty to find out that I've been permanently banned. I have appealed but it was denied.

Why even have missions in this mode. All you have succeeded in doing is creating another br game. If you tel the stradegy of take out the other teams then you have no time to conplete any missions. So this is now a battle royal map without have to worry the circle is closing. I first got banned in 2021 when I wanted to play warzone after a few months, I do not know why all I know is I got banned, then warzone 2 came out and I played it for a few days and got put under review and after a few days I was able to play again. But then I got permanently banned from it again for hacking and cheating. I never cheated in the game and I played only one or 2 games a day and I wasnt even good at it. So I made another account and tried to play and I got put under review again and then a few days later got perma banned I dont know why and the appeal a ban system is a total scam it just sends u a pre generated email saying they will not overturn the ban. And now I made another account and before I could even play a game I was put under review. I really dont know what to do and activision is really useless in this issue.

So i have been shadowbanned for the 5:th time now. first time ever i been in this loop in videogames. im 40 years old.
I have not cheated, i play sniper on ranked game and my enemys get angry and i guess they are reporting me.
im not even good. i have some good games and some bad.

I only play with friends and talk witht hem on discord. i use pc.

I've been rage reported enough to where I've been in the "under review" ban 7 times now or as I've heard others call it "shadow ban" | enjoy playing modern warfare 2 being active duty military I live far from close family and friends this is a way to hang out with eachother and have fun but no one wants to play in shadow ban lobbies full of hackers just because I got a few lucky shots is beyond activating and It makes the game I payed for unenjoyable and unbearable. Fix this.

Good day i am very dissapointed in the reporting system once again. A couple of months ago i was playing on pc and got shadow banned 3 weeks in a row. I then changed to xbox and did not get shadow banned in 6 months. I finally bought a new pc this week of $2000 australian dollars and played two days and guess what im shadow banned again. This is inacceptable that if reported on pc its a immediate ban and i cant even find out why its happened. There is no support for us aswell. Please help me. I was so excited about the new mw3 but if this is what happens everytime i play i will not be buying it.
Desired outcome: I would like to be unbanned and you can monitor my gameplay i do not hack or cheat.

Banning my account for no reason
I have been banned from activsion for over a year now i played over 300 hours of cold war played warzone 1 for ages then got banned for no reason boom a year ago they offer no support they didnt provide any information to what i did only a stupid automated message that everyone receives
This happened august last year and people are being banned to this day and yet and not fixed it..

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II / Warzone II
On July 2nd I moved across the country from Arizona to Alabama. I played the game a few days before the move, and then I put my PC in a shipping container. I arrived in Alabama and decided to try season four reloaded on July 12th since I had my PS5 with me. I played maybe two games and then didn't attempt to play for a few more days when my PC arrived. I set up my pc and immediately saw an error message on my screen signifying that my account had been permanently banned. I have been heartbroken by this. I have spent so many hours in this game playing legitimately. I have also spent nearly $300 on this account. I truly have no idea why my account would be banned. I have tried contacting activision through the Better Business Bureau and by filing multiple tickets.
I understand that the security and enforcement team goes through a very long process before banning accounts, but I am telling you with 100% certainty they got this wrong. I have not and will never cheat in a video game. I love this game way too much to do that. Please, I am begging you to just have someone review my account. I am not a cheater. I play this game with my wife and cousins. I have never even been shadowbanned. I am now playing WZII on the same pc that I was banned on without issue, so I am unsure as to how that would even be allowed. Wouldn't my new account immediately be banned for Hardware ID tagging? This leads me to believe that maybe my account was hacked and the other person's pc would have been hardware ID banned.
Also, I gave my sister my PS4 and had her create an account so that she could play WarZone with us and she accidentally logged into my account at the same time that I was logged into my PC. Could that have flagged my account?
Also, I believe that I was logged into the game when I realized that my time zone was still in Arizona and was manually set so I set it to update automatically. All of this happened right before I went to play the game. I think I was also updating all of my drivers and software since my PC was gone for a while. I have Corsair iCue, ASUS armorycrate, and Logitech GHub on my PC. I know that a lot of people say that those things flag the game.
Look, I really feel like something weird happened here. I have never cheated so can you please have a real person from the security and enforcement team review my account? I just want to play the game.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II
The game has a system where if you are suspected of violating the security enforcement (using cheats) because players report you in-game for cheating you will be placed "under review" for a time period of 1 day - multiple weeks. During this time your matchmaking takes a lot longer, the matches will have higher ping, and only can queue with other under review players, which means more cheaters. You can also only play certain game modes. This is anti-gamer, because i cannot enjoy playing without worry of someone falsely reporting me because i killed them, not to mention this has happened to me at least 15 times. Ive spent more time WAITING to be able to enjoy the game than actually playing normally. Im stuck in a loop.
Desired outcome: I would like this system to be reworked so that way i can play the game i paid for without being punished for simply being good at the entire objective of the game itself- eliminating other players. Please acknowledge this issue.
COD MW2, permanent ban
I've been recently banned on the date of 13/08/2023, at the approx. 19:00 CET. The ban reason was "unauthorized software and manipulation of game data", even though I've never cheated, neither I had any sort of cheating software on my PC. The ban happened after playing 2 matches of Ashika Island (Resurgence), I've had both matches really good games going more than +15 kills each round. After dying the second game, went back to lobby, before lobby loading screen I've been greeted with the message that my account is banned permanently. Afterwards I've taken the case to Activision Support "Appeal a Ban". There after approx. 6 hours I've received the nice automated message that everyone gets, that I've used "unauthorized software and manipulation of game data". After that I've tried going through their "Recovery" department where usually you get a case number and a confirmation on your email, guess what? Never got any of those, because they have blocked my email, that my guess.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology, as well as the immediate restoration of my account. A report of the trigger of the ban. As well as clearing my Steam Account of the game ban on record.

Woke up today to a permaban without even a warning, and it was Steam that notified me of this, not even an email or anything. Put in a support ticket, came back 6 hours later, at 5 AM on a Sunday morning as having been reviewed and confirmed as being unauthorized software and manipulation of game data, and wouldn't be removed. This has to be a false flagging, Steam and Discord are not enough to mess with the game. This false ban is now a mark against my whole Steam account, plus the single player content is locked off to me as well as the multiplayer.

This complaint is being made in regards to my Activision account which "has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data". After reaceaving automated bot responses in regard to my ban appeal, the fact that this will not be overturned is completely unfair for someone who has paid over $60 for the game and has never run any type of cheating software on my PC or any PC for that matter.
Looking at my K/D ratio and my stats it would be quite obvious that I'm not cheating, nor ever have. I'm a very casual player and hardly get the change to play the game more than a day or two out of a week.
Additionally, as your software has had access to the kernel level of my computer, I am requesting access to the data and logs that show evidence of the unauthorized software that you claim was running on my computer. Furthermore, as all responses given on this matter are blanket automated replies that are FALSELY described as manual reviews, I wish to make an access request under Article 15 of the GDPR regulations allow for a copy of any information you keep about me, on computer or in manual form in relation to the above incident including the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and meaningful information about how decisions are made, the significance and the consequences of processing, to be relayed to myself.
To summarize I am requesting an investigation into the unauthorized software you claim was running on my computer along with the logs and personal data you have obtained from me. I will happily co-operate by allowing a security engineer access to my PC to investigate, either through physical drop off or through a remote session.
Furthermore, now as I have no way to play either the multiplayer or the campaign, I am requesting a full refund as the Digital content I paid for is not fit for purpose.

I purchased a PC to play Call of Duty and I use an Xbox controller since I come from Xbox. Ever since the anti-cheat program was added I have consistently been shadow-banned over and over again and I DO NOT CHEAT WHATSOEVER! It's now season 5, I was unbanned the day of the release I played a few games with friends and turned on Nvidia to record my game I got into about an hour of gameplay then got ejected to the main screen. Of course, I checked and I am shadow banned once again. This is ridiculous I get like 2 days of play when I purchase a new battle pass and now I'm banned again. It really sucks cause this is the ONLY game I play. My Activision id is: Daflyingmunk#1119022 Hopefully someone from Activision can actually do their job.
Desired outcome: stop banning pc players for running recording software. Do better at analyzing 3rd party software. There should be certain software that is whitelisted like nvidia insta recording.

What I mean by that is a hacker took my account to use and exploit on without changing my login information. I live alone so I know its not somebody in my home. Please look into this I do not hack, mod, exploit or do anything against TOI (terms of service).if I recover my account I no longer intend to play on PC for fear that the hacker will have another access to my account

Call of Duty Cold War
My friend gifted me Cold War on steam on 07/31/2023. We played for the first time 8/2/2023. After 5 hours of zombie game play, we took a break and decided to play later. After coming back to it, I received a notice saying my account was permanently banned. I was shocked, since I was doing absolutely nothing wrong, there were no hacks, cheats, or modified game files whatsoever. I did some research and learned that I am not the only person this has happened to (being wrongfully banned) and I submitted an appeal to hopefully lift my ban. I have never hacked, cheated, or been banned from any other game, especially never an Activision game. The next morning I received an email saying they would not be able to lift my ban, and that I had been banned for "using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data." They never provided any proof, or told me what software was causing this issue. I know for certain there is nothing on my computer that would allow me to have an unfair advantage against other players, and there was certainly nothing I did to the game besides launch it and play it like every other game I've ever played. Activision completely disregarded my claims that I am innocent, and my friend feels as if Activision stole his money.
Desired outcome: Above all, I would like my account un-banned in order to play the game with my friend again.We are not even requesting a refund, as we both enjoy playing the game together.
