DermaLiv review: Don't order samples from them – they will take bogus charge from you ( 11 comments)

I subscribed for the trial of eye cream and anti-aging cream on the website www.dermaliv.com. I paid about $5 for the delivery. I received the first sample after 3 day and still no sample of anti-aging cream. I waited and got nothing, but I checked my account and it turned out that they charged me for $89.99. I have no idea for what, ‘coz they didn’t warn about any further charges. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice?

I had exactly the same experience with lumere skin care. I did not sign up for anything but a trial and definitely did not intend or want anymore of it..

DO NOT order this product. She is right. It is NOT a free sample as they imply. I looked for but could find no information about the price of the product or that I was enrolling in a recurring shipment. They say the information is on their website and that they tell you what you are signing up for. All I saw was a form to fill out to receive the sample for shipping of $5. They charge you the shipping fee and then charge you full price for the product on top of that two weeks later. Then charge you again every month. They will not give you back your money either. They will offer you a discount, but only on the second shipment that you don't realize you are getting until it comes-not the first shipment that you did not know you were going to be charged for. They rip you off for $90 for each product and on top of that it made me break out! Even discounting that, it did not see any better than other products I have tried for much less money!

Yesterday I spoke with a rude representative named Roberta. She kept interrupting me when I tried to speak. She asked if I had read the purchase conditions and regulations which as you, myself, and others probably felt that paying for the shipments meant the products were free. I told her it made me break out and she said I needed to use the products for 30 days in order for my skin to adjust. But 14 days is what they advertise. Roberta said I would be charged an additional $9 (I assumed it was each), and when I asked for what she said "for keeping the product". I told her I would return them. She basically threatened me saying if I didn't I would be charged $89.95 and asked "or how much did I want to pay"! She kept sales pitching me and when I told her to stop, all I wanted to do was cancel my orders and not receive any additional products she got really nasty saying I should let her do her job. I have received cancellation confirmation numbers from her and seperate emails stating these order have been cancelled and no further charges would incur - let her try to charge me. This company is definitely scamming and ripping off consumers.

So... I've been caught by such schemes before. I can definitely understand being caught in the moment because of a "miracle product". Take some responsibility for your own actions. There is a link at the bottom of the page that takes you straight to the terms and conditions which includes your agreement to make said payments. Does the product work or not? Is it a scam as well?

I am in the process of trying to get a refund from this company Dermaliv or Baylie Skin - they used a different company name when they charged my bank account. After the initial order you supposedly have 14 days to cancel to prevent future auto shipments, but they didn't wait the 14 days to ship more product and charge my account. Just trying to reach customer service was a nightmare, I found at least 4 different phone numbers and 3 email addresses. The emails to Baylie Skin were returned "undeliverable". I was finally able to get RMA numbers to return the products, and was emailed when the returns were received, but still no refund has been credited to my account. I was charged a total of $159.82 and am on a fixed disability income. This caused a number of overdraft charges since it was unexpected. In summary I would stay as far away from these companies as possible whether the products work or not, their business practices are unethical at best, and an outright SCAM at worst.

I almost ordered my"free" trial but read the fine print and saw they automatically charged you $80 plus $4.95 after 14 days for the next jar.
People, PLEASE read the fine print...always!

I had the same problem as all of the above and am working on getting credited back. I am about ready to say we should file a class action lawsuit against this company.
