Accredo Health Group Pharmacy

Unbelievable awful company. Probably the most deceitful, unorganized, incompetent and soulless medical company I've ever used. I had no choice but to use Accredo because my insurance company made me (BTW, avoid Anthem if you can, they actually do business with companies like Accredo). My doctor and her staff even warned me how bad Accredo was to work with.

I had to call extremely often just to get basic answers, and every different Accredo employee I was passed off to gave me different answers. They promised me, PROMISED me that they wouldn't ship my prescription until it had gone through my insurance. They told me it was company policy not to ship a prescription without the patient's authorization.

Well they shipped it anyway, and mislead my doctor into thinking I only owed $60 after insurance coverage. A few months later, I was sent the full bill of $700. My insurance company told me that it hadn't been covered, and they took zero responsibility for how Accredo lied to me.

I fought and fought them, called and called, they said they would pull the calls and follow up, but they never, ever did. The only communication I had after that was another mailed bill.

You've been warned. Do not deal with Accredo. Look at all the horrific reviews this company has received.

Desired outcome: Please vote for politicians who want to reform healthcare. It's our number one problem and is a global embarrassment.

Accredo Health Group Worst Experience ever....

This company is all over the place. You never get the correct information and it's always inconsistent. I have been dealing with them for more than 3 weeks to refill a prescription and not one person has been able to help. Spoken to supervisors as well as staff members and they are all just useless. They do not have a well-set chain of command and I can tell that training was little to no existent. I honestly received a new answer to my issue every time I call. They do not give any call back even though they ask for your number in case you get cut off. From billing issues to doctor's prescriptions to actually refilling the order all different agents were completely lost. If you are lucky and after calling about 10 times you might get someone who actually knows what they are doing but don't count too much on that. I asked for a callback from corporate or upper level who needs to listen to the calls I have and see how badly the personnel is trained. We will see if it ever takes place.

First off this is the worst pharmacy ever my 5 yr old son has to take a very expensive medication about 1500.00 per shot and if he misses one shot or takes 4-5 days late he will need 2 shots as a refresher which insurance will not pay for well here we are 16 days past his medication they didnt care and don't care about the patients mind you I called them every day for over a month telling them I was running out and was going to need more I they assured me it's on the way which it was not and now they refuse to eat the cost of the extra medication my son has to take because of there stupidity and incompetence worst pharmacy ever had this been log or death my son would be dead then they continue to make up excuses why it didn't come and as soon as I told them I been recording all our conversations we had for the last month the got upset and said that I broke the rules of acreedo pharmacy lol why because I have proof your a bunch of lying sacks of crap I started calling back in april 20 lmjust about a month late

Desired outcome: To pay for the extra medication that is now needed due to their negligence

Accredo Health Group Filling new prescription

I have spoken with someone at Accredo 3 times and all 3 times I have been told my prescription is in processing. They confirmed the prescription was received; that the Prior Authorization was received and on file; The prescription discount account information was received and on file; and My save on SP account information is received and on file. It has been almost a month. I keep being told that someone will contact me and set up a delivery date once processing is complete. How much time does it really take to "process" when you have all the information needed. I have read a multitude of negative reviews about Accredo where many others are having the same issues. How can this be allowed to continue? This is so unacceptable and I would hope that the higher ups would be extremely concerned about the poor customer service.

Desired outcome: I want my prescription filled and delivered to me in 7 days.

Accredo Health Group Accredo pharmacy

Accredo is the absolute worst. Nobody at this company cares about you getting your medication. NOBODY. I have not doubt that when I have called (many times) in tears about why I don't have my life-saving medication, they are rolling their eyes and laughing. When the customer support reps don't know what to do, they hang up on you. The last time my prescription was up for renewal, it took 2 months and 20 phone calls to get it scheduled for delivery. Even then, my prescription is late every single month and I have to spend hours on the phone sorting it out each time. I also have to call every single month asking why I am receiving a $2K bill because they tried to bill my HSA card instead of the co-pay assistance. Every time they assure me that this won't happen again but each month I am blocked from refilling because of an "unpaid balance." I am forced to use this awful "service" due to my insurance company. If you have any other options, I beg you to use them instead of Accredo. Stay as far away from this awful company as you can! Reminder: NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU AT ACCREDO. They are a money-making machine.

Desired outcome: I would like to fill my prescriptions each month and have them arrive on time, without me calling multiple times, and I would like the billing

Accredo Health Group Incompetent billing department!!

This company is a COMPLETE JOKE. It takes Months and months to get any issue resolved. It is 2023 and I'm still working on billing issues from 2021.
-They have pulled 2022 funds from my co-pay assist credit card for medicine billed in 2022. Not legal!
-When comparing payments from my co-pay assist company and Accredo they DO NOT match.
-Some payments take two days to process (curious as to how this is possible?) and most take 2-3 months.
-An agent hung up on me 5/10/23 when she couldn't answer tough question about a double billing issue. She had my phone number and chose not to call back.

-I've been lied to as to why my prescription isn't being processed. They've said it's too early for a refill-LIE by the 1st level phone agent and in the same day they said they were out of stock-LIE by the pharmacy tech. I've also been told that my prescription needs renewing when it did not.
-When trying to resolve a problem you have to repeat the entire scenario with a new agent EVERY SINGLE PHONE CALL. That's even with them having all the "notes" on file.
I simply cannot imagine my elderly parents trying to deal with this company all on their own. I've spent DAYS on the phone and have a stack of notes and research that I've had to do all on my own. Everyone from the Insurance company to the Co-pay assist company to Accredo point fingers at each other and send you on a goose chase for answers.

How many people are skipping doses of their medicine just to avoid dealing with Accredo Billing incompetence. It's criminal!

The only way that they cannot take advantage of you is if you do the following:
1-Call your co-pay assist department and ask for all payment amounts & dates of service that Accredo has billed for.
2-Do the same with your Insurance Company
3-Call Accredo and get all Invoice numbers. They cannot receive a payment from the copay company without them. This is how I found the double billing issue.
Then, call Accredo and sit back and let them do the talking. You can defend yourself with all of the data that you collected.

In my opinion, Accredo takes from co-pay assist companies and then bills you for god knows what. If you don't inspect your bill, then most people will just pay it. The State of New York sued them and won a settlement and the complaints on the BBB site are endless.
The only thing they are good at is delay and deny.

Desired outcome: DO BETTER. I hope the Great Reset happens to Accredo. Coming soon...fingers crossed.

Accredo Health Group Specialty Pharmacy

I'm on a daily med that's not meant to be off of more than a day or so without harsh side effects. I called for a refill and went through many call backs and different reps just to do so. As I'd finally been reassured that a refill was on it's way, it never came. I finally called back to find out when it would be arriving. They said the pharmacy had stopped the order due to insurance issues. Yet, no one had the common courtesy to let me know. I never would've known had I not called to follow up. I was dismayed and panicked. My Dr. scrapped this clown service and ordered through Centerwell Specialty Pharmacy instead. They have been attentive and professional regarding my health and wellbeing. Accredo Specialty Pharmacy seems to hire the bottom of the barrel in incompetence at every level.

Desired outcome: To warn people so they don't have to go through what I've been through with dealing with Accredo Specialty Pharmacy.

I'm sorry you are having this problem - so am I! It started 3 months ago for me and I still don't have anything resolved. Mine is a chemotherapy drug that I must take. Because of being retired military, this is my only option for getting my Rx filled...I hope others don't have to go through this nightmare too! Thank you for posting your problem - I am glad you were able to get resolution to your problem...hopefully I will too!

Accredo Health Group Can Not Receive My Enbrel that DOES have a PA on file and 6 month approval !!!

I live in NY long Island, I am a member of 1199SEIU. My doctor prescribed enbrel 50mg sureclick on 3/5/23. I received a letter from Espress Scripts stating my medication was approved from 3/6/23 to 10/2/23. My PA is on file. Have given my mailing address, contact information, phone number at least 20 times to your representatives in TN/TX, Conn, NY, and FLA. Spoke to a pharmacist who read my script to me and it was all correct and yet today is 4/23/23 and I still do not have my medication. Last voicemail a recording left was to call a number to set up delivery. I called the number it said to call and the recording said nothing on file for me. So, I have come to the conclusion that I will not receive this medication at least while I am breathing And must say your specialty at best is incompetency. Thank You for your efficiency regarding this matter. Jennifer Warner.

Accredo Health Group Accredo Specialty Pharmacy a Branch of Express Scripts

I have been trying for months and months to get a biologic medication for my prostatic arthrosis (Tremfya) from Accredo. I am in debilitating pain and I have been on the phone for hours and hours daily with Accredo being bounced from person to person. Numerous escalations and no return calls, no follow up and no medication! I have been told over and over someone will call within 48 hours it has been weeks and weeks. I tried to file a grievance and I am just sent back to the customer service line to start all over again. PLEASE IF THERE IS ANYTHING ANYBODY CAN DO TO INTERVIENE! PLEASE!

I have all the prior authorizations approved by BCBSIL insurance, prescription submitted by the doctor months ago. Accdroed has excuse after excuse for not filling the prescription and absolutely nobody is accountable. Every phone call I have start completely over and no follow up ever!

Desired outcome: Someone that will take accountability to straighten out my medication situation with that company and get my meds shipped to me

Accredo Health Group Poor customer service

Terrible pharmacy, all the back and forth phone calls to have my pharmacy changed - unfortunately I did not receive my medication on time. No one seems to know what’s going on. My doctor faxed the prescription and they didn’t receive it. It needed to be called in…twice.

Then I received a bill that was 34 times more than what I normally pay with my prescription card. I only changed my pharmacy to Accredo because my Cigna insurance forced me to and it’s has been nonstop headaches and stress.

Accredo will mail me letters asking about the medications I’m taking and I have to add postage to mail it back. Just have an secure online profile where I can add this information, oh wait, you can’t actually create an online profile without an Rx number. So dopey!

Accredo Health Group Accredo specialty pharmacy

I have to order my medication through Accredo by my insurance. It is the worst experience I have ever had with the exception of the Walgreens specialty pharmacy. I don't know the deal exactly but I have a savings card with my medication and it has money on it from all my information and they say it doesn't. I try to talk to Accredo you never get the same person no one knows what is going on spend hours and hours on the phone with no results. They will not work with the savings card company to resolve the problem and keep sending me bills. I am out serveral hundred dollars still no medication no solution and really no hope. My doctors solution was to change medications, just my luck I have to got through Accredo and the samples I got are not working and having problems getting the medication started. I have been on the original medication since 2016 and with all the problems I have been able to get at least a little satisfaction, but not this time. Currently I'm dealing with a lot of pain, mentally and physically and it shouldn't be this hard. Never been so frustrated and aggravated.

Desired outcome: Need better managment. Accredo needs to work the with medication and savings card people to prevent these problems. They need some support to

The Accredo Specialty Pharmacy specializes in trying very hard not to fill prescriptions. Every month there is a new hoop through which to jump just to get the medication that helps me breathe. From being forced to sign up with another 'savings' company one month to new PAF rules the next month to ignoring the manufacturer's copay plan to asking for the same info over and over - you definitely get the feeling their job is to delay and deny as much as possible the filling of the Rx. They are my biggest health problem.

Thanks for accepting me into the group!

Here is my story like many others, I have been getting medication for my wife, who suffers from Lou Gehrig’s disease through Accredo.

Every month has been nothing but hell. The automated system would call me and tell me to call them. when you call them the associate answers, verifies everything tells you they’re gonna put you on a short 2-3 minute hold then they transfer you to another person she tells you she will look into the account and put you on another 2 to 3 minute hold. From the very first month when Accredo tries filling this prescription it will get reversed in there system so they have to call the insurance company and get a live override.

there are notes under her account that say they must do this every month in order to get the medication approved

Fast forward my wife’s new insurance plan was going into affect on March 1, so I was proactive called him to get it filled. He told me it would ship out two days prior to the end of the month on March 1. I get a text telling me my prescription will be delayed when I call Accredo they told me my insurance rejected it, I instantly called the insurance company. They put me on a three-way call with the insurance company in Accredo and sure enough after 2 1/2 hours five different reps they never did the live override. My insurance company was even willing to backdate it for the day previous, but for some reason that seem to be a problem and they could not do it, so it escalated, five days later we received her verdict and she proceeds to tell me they are not allowed to backdate it there for my wife now she will miss a whole cycle of this expensive an important medicine. The insurance company was willing to flex, even when we were still not covered on March 1 with them, but Accredo was not.

I am glad I am now with CVS pharmacy. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise !

Accredo Health Group Scheduling/shipping of orders

I have been customer of Accredo in good standing since 2013. I use this company to get my Biologic Medication which is life saving. Since January 1, 2020 I have started using the auto injectors so the medication ships directly to my home. Accredo uses every excuse under the sun to lie and cheat me out of my $10000 a month life saving meds. I have had the same Dr. and dosage and address for 15 years but flags were thrown up to pause the order or cancel it altogether. I have never been in debt or had a balance with these people because my insurance pays for part of the medication and my copay assistance program pays the balance. 4 different prescriptions has been called in since January of 2023 and they have lost them all. They lock me out of my online account forcing me to call them. They cancel orders without notifying me about the disruption. I have been assigned a one point of contact advocate who is is as clueless as a first day new hire. I have audio to back up everything I am stating and screenshots of any other communications to prove every word written here is truthful. It’s as if the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. The entire system is broken and needs to be overhauled or restructured. First contact advocates are not sufficiently trained to assist anyone with anything but scheduling an order. Nothing more. I have had to escalate so many calls because of this. My one point of contact advocate has ghosted me. Gave me her cell and offfice # but now refuses to answer any of my calls or text. I’ve only spoken to her 2 times total. If I can’t get relief this last complaint I am going straight to my pharmacy board and FTC and State Attorney General office. You must treat your patients better than this. Or reap the consequences of endangering an individual’s life and wellbeing or being sued. If I had another option of a specialty pharmacy believe me I would use it. But what can you say Express Scripts owns Accredo so that tells you everything you need to know. Conflict of interest, patient “Steering” among other unethical behaviors.

Desired outcome: I would like a call return from someone at Accredo that has the clout to see that my case is rectified in a timely manner.

WORST Specialty PHARMACY E-V-E-R! TOTAL INCOMPETENCE! THEY voided my live prescription by mistake. Then, Tashana S. (supervisor x-212182) told me, “Too bad, you have to get your doctor to send us a new prescription.” She couldn't undo THEIR OWN MISTAKE! I am out of my medication & got NO HELP whatsoever from Accredo. If you don't want to deal with horrible, argumentative customer service, STAY AWAY FROM Accredo Specialty Pharmacy. PLEASE DON'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MEDICATIONS!

Accredo Health Group Prescription delivery

Been on the same medication for 3 years and never had such a problem getting my meds than when I've had to go through Accredo to get them over the past 9 months. I moved due to better work conditions and now can barely hold any job because I end up running out for 1-2 weeks every month while trying to argue back and forth about the next shipment.

It is constantly the run around between them, the Dr's, the insurance company, and the payment assistance program. I have records of previous conversations confirming coverage and payment and yet still, I get another bill for 500 (that I've already confirmed was covered) today and find they are still holding my meds after I scheduled delivery a week ago.

They should not be allowed to be a pharmacy - so many people aren't able to access lifesaving medication in a timely manner because Accredo never has any of its [censored] together.

I have lost a job in the process of trying to secure regular delivery of my meds and Accredo doesn't care less if I can't afford rent and end up homeless because I can't work without my meds.

Desired outcome: Confirm payment was made in DECEMBER 2022 and SEND ME MY MEDICATION IMMEDIATELY.

Complained so many times with so many issues for years without any being resolved. Will be formally filing complaints with BBB, Consumer Affairs and other agencies...

Incompetent pharmacy. I have to call every time for chemotherapy drugs because the app never lets me order. I have asked them to fix the problem being unable to order through the app but their IT Techs are incompetent. Been 3 years without them fixing it. I also can not reply to a text to refill an order. Constantly getting daily automated phone calls to order 2 weeks before they will allow me to order.

Now I asked to have next months Chemotherapy Drug scheduled auto refilled as I will be in Antarctica with no way to call. They refused to do it. So now will miss taking chemotherapy medication. Yet also use Alliance RX Walgreens and they scheduled auto refill with no problems.

My chemotherapy prescription is fully covered by insurance as it always has for years yet they have incompetent employees who can't figure out how to bill the insurance company. Just pathetic.

Accredo is a clown show and should not be in business.

Incompetent pharmacy. Use another pharmacy if you can. I can't because the insurance company uses this incompetent pharmacy.

Accredo Health Group I changed my part d insurance for the current year, and cannot get accredo to fill the prescription.

I changed my part D Medicare insurance for 2023. I got my new card with all the required information in December 2022. I called Accredo and gave them the new information. Since I've had issues with them in the past, I wanted to be proactive and start the process early for an appointment in February when I would need my medicine. There was a delay with my doctor getting in touch with the insurance company to get prior authorization but I still had a two or three weeks until I needed the prescription filled. I got the approval and called Accredo about 10-12 days before I needed the medicine to give them time to get things going. They started processing the prescription and gave a 5 figure copay amount. I knew that was wrong and they said to contact my insurance company. I called my insurance company and they could find no record of Accredo submitting the prescription. I suddenly realized that they submitted it to my Medicare Supplement insurance instead of my part D insurance. I called them back and a nice gentleman took a lot of time getting it straightened as to what insurance company they should contact. This was late in the evening and he said to call back in the morning. The person I talked to in the morning said the insurance information was sent to another department and it would take at least a week to get the change done. I told them I needed the medicine in about a week and they said they would call and let me know when they could fill it. I had to cancel my doctor's appointment, and after a week it still isn't ready for me to fill the prescription. For a regular prescription I can go online to my pharmacy and get it filled within hours. I don't understand why, if they have the insurance information they can't process a prescription.

Desired outcome: I would like them to promptly fill my prescription.

Accredo Health Group Service

My son insurance change in November he was on growth hormone since then I habe been calling them and updated his insurance information his doctor has done it as well and they have not done anything as of today Feb 2023 my son still without medicine. I called and they said " we are so sorry we don't habe your insurance information we have to many systems we got your doctor order but no insurance" really after I habe done it more than 10 times. They just don't care now my son's treatment has to start all over again. I need help getting his medicine.

Desired outcome: I need someone to call me place the order and send me an email with confirming they got his insurance information and the medication has been order.
