fish oil in organic milk?!
Any average / reasonable consumer would never think to check the label on organic milk. Well, today I read the label on Costco's Organic Milk with DHA and find that it has fish oil and fish gelatin in it! I've been a strict vegetarian for over 20 years and I'm appalled. We've only been buying this milk for about 1 month now. I would never have bought it had a I known it contained fish ingredients. However, Costco does not label the milk that it contains fish ingredients, which it should. Who would like to investigate a class action lawsuit against Costco with me? Costco has acted negligently, has been purposefully deceptive to it's customers and has caused harm to at least several (if not more) people with fish allergies. Many of us have wasted lots of money buying a product that has been deceptively marketed. A reasonable consumer would not expect chicken ingredients in their butter or shrimp ingredients in their ice cream. Let's hold Costco responsible and make them pay for the emotional, psychological, physical and financial damages to consumers. Thank you.
price changing before locked date
On Tuesday March 3, 2015 I went to Milford, CT Costco to look at the Samsung TV's and I found one, the Samsung UN55H6300A for $699.99. I went back today March 4, 2015 and the price went up to $769.99 a $70.00 increase but there's a MFR instant rebate on the TV which expires 3/07/2015 so the price should have been locked in until that date right? NO.
So when I questioned manager about it he placed all the blame on the buyers for raising the price and he could not help me. I also told him the TV's for sale where the same ones that were there yesterday but like ALL Costco managers he didn't care and just passed the buck on to the buyers. You'll notice in the pictures I attached there's a date at the bottom of the price card and it was changed today 3/4/15. Thanks a lot Costco for showing everybody that you're no different than the Oil Companies supply and demand. Time to look elsewhere, glad I’m also a member at BJ’s. BYE BYE Costco another dissatisfied customer.
poor customer service and refund policy
Be careful when you buy oranges, there's always bad and moldy ones at the bottom of the box. I tried to get at least a parcial refund for the bad ones, and they say that it has to be half of the box bad to get a refund. Wtf? so they refused to give me any refund. What a bad a demeaning customer service experience with Ena in the doral, Miami location. She doesn't get that you need to give people a refund when you sell moldy produce. For sure I'm not renewing my membership next year
cashier mistakes!
There is no customer service for complaint on the website or phone options that i can contact with someone? I shopped at costco houston richmond store today and met a terrible situation. I shopped with my 4 year old daughter together and bought a lot of stuffs (15 items in total) and i am using self - check service and one cashier helps me scan all the...

My daughter and bought one roasted chicken each at Costco in Staten Island on 1/2/2015. We sliced a couple of pieces off of each breast because we only eat white meat. My sister wanted another piece and when I sliced it blood was dripping and the chicken was raw. I took the leg off and it was also raw. We all regergitated. I have pictures but they won't download. If you send me an email address I will send them to you
I didnt know they were going to put my personal info on and the chicken was supposed to be fully cooked. If I wanted to cook I wouldn't have bought a ready made chicken.
I just bought a rotisserie chicken that was uncooked. I live 25 mins from the costco near me. A huge inconvenience to return this meal.. i put it in the oven for 40 mins at 375 and was still questionable. I know how to cook a. Chicken at my age And also this was the second time.. absolutely never again

pharmacist treatment of clients
I have been a member of Costco since 2008 an Executive Member. A year ago I started getting my prescriptions filled at their pharmacy and I thought how wonderful is this!?!?! I have insurance through my employer and I thought I would have no problems. Well for the first 4 months they charged me as if I had no insurance and finally in January of this year it changed to my prescription cost per my insurance. That's not the worst of it. Every month I go to have my prescription filled I get treated like garbage. The Pharmacy Manager Larry Phram treats me like I am a junkie and he shows no respect. Last month he said without even looking me in the eye just hearing my voice to come back tomorrow, he was too busy to deal with me and I was the only one standing at the pharmacy. Isn't the rule of thumb Customer Service 101 deal with the person standing in line, in person? Another employee Andrew made me sit there for 2 and a half hours before filling my prescription. There is never a time when I am not there that I do not get treated horribly by him or other pharmacy employees. I also was told by another person that fills their medications at the same Costco that if you make Larry mad he will never fill your medications. I could not believe what I heard! ?!?! Who does this guy think he is? The only employee that treats me like a human being is Oscar the assistant manager. They are judging me by the type of medication I take, even though I am a functional member of society, I have a job working with Federal Prisoners in the prison system. I am tired if being judged because of others.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
That is horrible and you shouldn't be treated that way just due to the type of script you are feeling, its not their job to judge. If I were you I would contact their corporate offices and let them know of this behavior. I know its probably convenient for you to fill there but not when you are treated this way.
damage to furniture and poor cleanup
Carpet was installed in a hurry my furnitue was chipped and scratched. Tile installers left grout mixture thrown in my yard. I have contacted Costco and was told someone would get back to me in 3 days has not happened. Carpet 101 has offered to pay me for the furniture pen I purchase to attempted to cover marks. My furniture is very dark wood so the photos are hard to see the damage. I choose them because my home is very large and I was concerned with moving my furniture. The also had to go back to their company to get more padding so I don't know if I actually got the yardage I paid for. The finished late at night because they were in a hurry to finish a 2 day job in 1 day. So until I put my home back together I diid not notice the damage. These are only a few of the photos.

rude management
Very Bad Service Make up their own rules and not respecting customers and their time Costco is very tight in there policys ... so may be people can be tight in spending there money at the costco stores. May be some body with the money can get together and open up another costco like stores and show costco how to run the bussiness.

their company their rules. If you dont like it, dont shop there. Simple. Or better yet, grow up. We still need more information on your complaint as well.
They already have another Costco like business it is called Sam's club, and only a six year old would mistake being told no and not having the rules changed just for them as rude.
rude/uninformed cashier
I was checking out and had forgotten my membership has expired last month, I had made it all out & left it at home as we are given a reward coupon good for your membership. I only had enough cash with me for my purchases I believed not to pay the full amount for the renewal and my goods. The cashier was rude and unaccommodating to my dilemma, she said...

At Sarasota Square Mall Costco, saw another customer with an extremely offensive T-shirt, man in his mid-30's. The T-shirt said '...Women are Wh***s and Liars' in large letters. I was shocked, asked several female employees their opinion, they were also shocked and got a manager for me. I could tell the manager DID NOT CARE. I asked him to please go find that customer who was still in the store and inform him his offensive T-shirt was not welcome at Costco - it broke current legislation in Sarasota regarding offensive language displayed in a public place where children under 18 have access (there were lots of kids old enough to read, and many young women/teenagers). Lady checking receipts was also horrified, as was another man who was a customer there with his wife and teenage daughter. Receipt checking lady told me she would give me an update next time she saw me. I demanded to the Manager that he take action and do something. The following week I was told by receipt lady that NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE. I am very angry about this, had a phone call to a manager at the store last night, the idiot told me to 'write a letter outlining my complaint so company executives could review it to discuss establishing a policy' and I told him no board meeting was necessary to discuss common human decency and that there already exists legislation in our city against profanity in a public place. The Sarasota city ordinances covering this SUPERCEDE first amendment right to free speech which is *not* the right to alarm or harass decent citizens with indecent behavior. Manager refused to even acknowledge my experience was upsetting, kept banging on about me 'writing a letter to executives'. I asked him if he was with his wife and daughter in a different store and one of them was slapped in the face, would he be upset if a Manager refused to do anything about it? Coward refused to answer me. So 2 Costco managers do not deserve the job, have failed to show initiative, have failed to step up and be counted as real men. They disgust me and also the women who saw that shirt too. Hope the women they say they love get better support from the cowards.
price gouging
I have been a Costco member since its Price Club days. I had heard that it does not mark up more than 15% on any item until this month (July 2014). I have been getting my prescriptions filled at Costco since I have been a member. I have been using a generic eye drops for all these years. During last three years I didn't have drug insurance and paid cash. In December 2013, Costco charged about $30 for it. When i went for a refill in July 2014, I was asked to pay $125. I was shocked, I told them that it must be an error, the price can't be four times in a matter of 6 months. The so pharmacist came over and said the price is correct and gave me a lecture on how many drug prices have recently gone up by 300% and more. I told them that I need to talk to my doctor before I paid for it. Upon my online search I found exactly the same drug for $32 at a national chain in my neighborhood. If one business is making profit at $32, how obscene would be Costco profits at $125. Costco has been raising gas prices and probably using these tactics to boost its bottom line.
manager and trainees rude and unprofessional
July 26 2014. location San Antonio Texas IH10 & UTSA BLVD. I went into COSTCO to receive my cash card for my 2% Cash back card on Executive membership that was due to me. This COSTCO location had called me, told me that COSTCO corporate had directed this location to give me a cash card for payment due to me. The people at the membership desk were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They promptly located the E-MAIL from corporate office, it told them exactly what was to be done. I was taken to A***N who was handed the E-Mail. A**N never looked at me or even said one word. A**N spun around with his back to me and started to read? the e-mail. A**N then proceeded to look at the e-mail from COSTCO corporate, perplexed A**N the asked me, "you are purchasing a CASH CARD?". I said "No I am not, A**N said to me " this has to be paid for", still never ever looking at me or saying hello, I SAID" PLEASE LOOK AT THE E-MAIL FROM CORPORATE". He ignored me spun and walked to the membership desk. After waiting just watching his confusion grow. He came back never saying a word or even looking at me. Continuing to say "this has to be paid for"He called the manager M*****A. AFTER WAITING FOR A FEW more minutes. even though what they were to do was "clearly stated" in the e-mail from corporate. The manager, M*****A came over with another person (also in training). AT THIS POINT NO ONE HAS EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED ME IN ANY WAY . SHE THE MANAGER PROCEEDED TO TRAIN HER EMPLOYEES ON THE REGISTER. I am standing there why they are trained on their job. When the manager completed her training session. "A***N SHOVED THE CARDS INTO MY HAND without a word or even looking at me. A***N turned his back on me and proceeded to chat with the manager and the other person. I leaned in and said " your welcome A***N. A***N turned his head for the first time in this whole event., and looked at me like i was from outer space and never said anything. Then M*****A, the manger proceeded to tell me that A**N did not mean anything by it. I told her do not like "snotty" people without manners. The manager M*****A told me It was not a big deal and started laughing. I told her "you think lack of manners is funny and how i was treated was funny". I told her "Where do they get you people with such lack of manners". I called the Regional Manager in Dallas and left 3 messages. WAITING.

I would shop here more often but the entrance to the store in Vallejo is guarded by a bunch of black Panther party
Yaw know I would shop at Costco more but I can't stand the fact that they give you nearly a pat down search to get into the Vallejo search..Its like the front of the store is guarded by the Black Panther Party.
overpriced
I just purchase a maax bathtub [item #282576] for $1350, and now i found the
Same tub (Under a different name) at homedepot for $800 (Without shipping) .
I emailed maax about these 2 models, and they said they are the same.
This is too big a discrepancy to ignore. Is costco over - charging? I always
Believed costco prices were the lowest, and now i am out a lot of money!
unprofessional employee
My husband and I had a very bad experience at Costco at Brandywine Branch Maryland. It happened during the check out when my husband used the self service register. After he scanned all the items, he tried to look for the coupon from the Costco coupon book. He didn't realized that Costco removed the option to clip coupons and replaced it by master coupon. The Costco employee name Sophia approached him with nasty attitude and told him to use the master coupon in front of the coupon book. When my husband tried to scan it, it gave him an error message. This employee Sophia with unprofessional attitude raised her voice so loud and said to my husband, " You did not do what I told you to do!" and she got louder and louder telling my husband how to scan the master coupon. It was so embarrassing that everybody was looking at us as if we cannot follow a simple instruction. I think this employee is a racist since both my husband and I are Asian, she thinks that we cannot follow simple instruction such as scanning coupon. I believe as a customer service representative, you must be patient and professional dealing with your customers especially if your company deployed a new procedure. This act of unprofessionalism, arrogance and rudeness of this employee is unacceptable and damaging to the name of a huge and respected store. I don't think my husband or any member deserve to be treated like a brainless individual. My husband is well educated citizen and a CPO in the US Navy. I hope that Costco raise their standards in assigning people who provides customer service, because these employees are always in the front line and the key to attract more business. In my case, as member for the last 5 years, I will not renew my membership with Costco anymore. Sam and BJs are just right around the corner.
So many companies don't realize the importance of quality customer service. Bad experiences mean less business...simple as that. Shame Costco!
you lost me at "I think this employee is a racist..."
Costco will not miss your membership.
ripoff prices - increases/ competition lower
Been shopping at Costco for a while now, it USED to be my one stop shop for many items, used to spend over $1000- $1600 per month at this store. I noticed they began to rise their prices a lot at this store. Over past year they have increase prices to a point of being rip off: sauces, washing soaps, and food items. Here are some examples: Coconut water from $9.99 to now $15.99 - same can be brought at Save on Foods and other supermarkets for $9.99 for the same quantity. Another is their Grapeseed oil, used to be $7.99 for 2 litre (2012) now $11.99- same is cheaper in price and much higher quality at again other supermarkets for $9.99, I questioned the price while shopping with a guy working there, he laughed and said "so we can know much we can get away with". Now I have reduced my shopping at his store to less than $200, as other supermarkets are much cheaper when you buy in bulk. Careful and check prices, this store will rip you off.

false advertising
Costco at gulf coast mall in ft myers, florida has a wireless vendor display kiosk that has several wireless cariers and phones on display that are for sale. Included is a display for verizon which has a fully functional samsung galaxy ii available and priced at $79. 99.
I asked the sales representative for one (To purchase) and he said they have never received one and verizon refuses to honor his request to send them to him! He then said they have the
Galaxy iii.
There appears to be some very deceptive tactics going on but it is not clear if it is verizon, costco, the kiosk owner or a combination of more that one party.
What is clear is the deceptive tactic.
Stop waisting people's time by falsely displaying and misleading the consumers that could be repeat customers if you are simply upfront about your business practices.
Verizon must know about the practice since there is a license agreement to sell their product, and costco's representatives are not blind and they are normally on top of this type of phony practice inside their store.
I have attached a phot of the display with the funcioning phone (Taken 11 / 17 / 13)

extremely long wait times
Let me start by saying we LOVE Costco and spend a great deal of money there every month. It's an hour and a half drive to the nearest Costco. My complaint is only regarding the Tire Service Center.
Since appointments can't be made to get our Costco tires rotated, we asked when the best time to come in to have it done ought to be. They told us first thing in the morning.
So, Friday the 18th of October 2013, we arrived 22 minutes after they opened. (We intended to be there right at opening but got caught in road construction for a few minutes twice.) We went in and were told by the none to friendly "Butch" that it would be at least 3 hours until he could get us in and then it would take 45 minutes to an hour to do the rotation. He didn't say sorry or act like he gave a rats behind. It felt like he actually wanted us to say, sorry can't stay. We had medical appointments scheduled for 3 hours out so we couldn't stay and wait.
This was our third try at getting rotation at Costco Tire Center with the same result. Our Costco is situated where there is really no where else to go while one waits for 3 or 4 hours. We can kill an hour or so shopping while we get service but 3 or 4 hours is out of the question.
This amount of wait time is ridiculous. We can't just drop in and see if they're busy or not. Why can't they take appointments at least for out of town folks? We sure had no trouble when we bought our tires there. We're not going to go somewhere else and have to PAY to have our Costco tires rotated.
So bottom line for us is that is that this is the last set of tires we buy at Costco. We have a Les Schwab two miles from home that is happy to service us. Before I married my husband I used nothing but LS tires and they were always very convenient. They even came way out of town one time when I had a flat on the highway, to come and change my tire for me. And Les Schwab can be found in tiny towns all over the place. Not just in the bigger places like Costco. Much more convenient if you don't live near a Costco.

need new store
This store (Marks St.) has been there since 80s. Meanwhile, the southwest area of LV/Henderson has had explosive growth. Why isn't Costco building a new store in the area of I -15/St. Rose Parkway? They cover the 'other' side of town with 2 stores, meanwhile Henderson has 1 store. This needs to be addressed with all the new/continuing growth in the SW area.

hiring policies
Supposedly it's illegal to discriminate by age, when hiring but Costco Wholesale asks for a SS# on their online application. If you don't fill in that field, the computerized application system halts and won't proceed...and the minute you fill that field in, the computer knows your age...isn't that illegal ?
It's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get a job once you're in your 40 's or 50's yet ALL of the big chains do their hiring online, and they ALL demand SS's. So people in this age bracket are screwed...and to make matters worse...CA provides incentives in the way of tax breaks to these mega corporations for hiring anybody BUT people in these brackets.
Too old to get a job, and too young to collect SS. NOT FAIR.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They are not asking for SS# to see how old you are. They use it for salary information and to verify you are a legal resident of the US. They also use for the various background checks they do before offering employment. They are not using it to discriminate against you because of your age.
rude associates
Well I start with I walked and no one greeted or even approached me and went and got some produce to purchase. I know nothing about the company except I knew you had to be a member to purchase items in store. So I thought I would ask about it when I got to the front "I thought no big deal" anyway I expect someone to be helpful instead I found rudeness. I...
