rotisserie chicken from deli
On November 17th 2017 i bought two chickens from Costco in Tucson, az when cut into they were raw. We called and were told we could come in for two free chickens and get our money back. We took a few weeks because of holidays and the fact that we live about 30 minutes from Costco. On December 16, 2017 we went and redeemed our two chickens and got our money back on the raw ones. We had to stand in line at the deli explain what happened there and then again at the register just to be walked over to a long refunds line and was there waiting for 30 minutes. When we finally got home we had planned on eating the chicken for dinner. The first chicken was fine the second one once again was raw and bleeding when we cut into it.
This is super dissapointing and extremely dangerous raw chicken can make someone super sick.
tire center
We live an hour away from the nearest Costco. So we called ahead to see if they had specific tires for our car(gave the gentleman all details of car as well as the tires we wanted). There was a Bridgestone tire and install sale going on and we need tires bad. We were told that yes they had 41 tires of the Bridgestone ecopia422 (which we wanted) so we drove up to kalispell Costco. When I got ready to pay they said the price is 546.00! I said there is a mistake because I had a picture of the tire from Costco website showing 126.99 per tire final cost $437. They said they didn't have that tire in stock even though the night before they said they did. What they had in stock was the much more expensive model. We drove an hour with the expectation of benefiting from a great sale just to be lied to and knowing that we needed tires. And no one would help honor the price on the website. Costco has become just like any other Walmart or big box store. In it for the money and not it's customers.
service through phone and email
It is unbelievable that a company like Costco does not have enough phone agents to answer the phone or respond to customers e-mail during the Holidays!
They even disconnected their phone lines so you can no longer reach anyone.
Before that, they had the President deliver a message that he was sorry for the long wait and so on! Pretty unprofessional!
We are very disappointed.
We placed and online order for an All-in-One HP computer 1 month ago and still have not received it. I cannot even cancel the order as nobody answers the phone and I sent an e-mail to cancel the order but never received an acknowledgment.
This is beyond disappointment.
A very upset customer.

hoodies roasted unsalted peanuts - 5 lb bag - item #4007
I have been purchasing this item for years at our local Costco stores in the Sacramento region. Recently, I went to buy this item and there were none available in 4 stores: Cal Expo, Woodland, Stockton Blvd. and Folsom. I was told that Cal Expo & Woodland were discontinuing this item. This makes no sense as I know it sold well as they would sell out frequently.
I don't understand why this is being discontinued and would like to still be able to purchase this product locally.
Thank you.
the delivery service and installing range, microwave, dishwasher.
Bought LG oven and microwave. It was delivered on November 14. They installed my gas stove but not my microwave, I had an appointment for that afternoon for someone to install it. They never came the girl that set up the time forgot to put it down. So for Thanksgiving I had a huge Microwave box in the middle of my dining room, which is still there, someone tomorrow is coming to install it. 12/15 a month later. Now tomorrow they are delivering my LG dishwasher between 8am - 10am, but they will not install it and they will not remove the old dishwasher. Which means I will have my new dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen the old one under the cabinet and no one will install it until December 29. When I bought the items I was told the delivery and the instillation will be on the same day, now I will have a dishwasher box in my kitchen for Christmas Holiday. I am very disappointed and need you to look into this situation.Thank you. Patricia Chaya
Hi Patricia.
Appliance installation is commonly separate from that of simple delivery.
The real key of success with appliance delivery and installation is preparing early. Not buying a full kitchen package until into November it's asking for problems.
movietickets.com
I've purchased movieticket.com gift cards from Costco and I've heard complaints about them but I didn't understand until I tried to use one myself. They force you to register on their website and then they constantly time out your purchase. When you go back to buy the tickets again the seats are "sold". My gift card ended up showing a zero balance and I thought it was just a glitch in the system but it still shows 0 PLUS they charged my credit card! I called and they won't refund my credit card! Luckily, I used my American Express so they will resolve the issue but I think Costco should STOP selling Movieticket.com gift cards!
the rotisserie chicken
I got a rotisserie chicken from the Costco in Brandywine, MD. When I got home, the chicken was not cooked properly. It was late, so I just cooked it myself. I called the Costco in Brandywine, Md and I spoke with the manager. The manager told me that the chicken was done, and he seemed to think it was no big deal. He said that they cook the chickens for the proper amount of time and if I wanted it to be extra done customers usually heat it up. He asked me if I wanted a refund, and I said no I wanted him to be aware of the issue. He make a smirking sound when I said I did not want a refund. I told him that I have had this problem with the chickens in the past, and I was hesitate to buy one at that Costco. Costco has an e coli outbreak before with its chicken salad. I do not think the manager realized the seriousness of people eating uncooked chicken. I hate that I did not get his name. However, I called on 12/14/17 at 1:10 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.
oranges
Costco has long carried California navel oranges when they are in season (late fall, into winter). That have usually come from Orange Cove, Exeter, or Lindsay. All are located in the Sierra foothills and grow excellent navel oranges. But now twice I have gone into my Costco in Chula Vista, CA, and the oranges have come from Delano. Now Delano is in the San Joaquin Valley, and the Valley is more and more switching from annual crops to tree crops, which can be handled by machine.
BUT the navel oranges from Delano are AWFUL, the skin is so thick it is hard to peel even with a knife. A real navel can be peeled with your fingers easily.
I wish Costco would only carry oranges from Orange Cove, Exeter, or Lindsay as in the past.
checkout experience
Unfortunately, my husband and I experienced a terrible exiting experience at the Costco located in Mt. Laurel, NJ on 12/12/2017. The individual checking us out would not take our receipt to exit the store. My husband tried multiple times to hand the woman our receipt. She did not acknowledge him or the receipt. She then proceeded to remove the blanket covering our son's legs while he sat in his car seat located in the cart (without asking permission). It's always been our experience that we handed the receipt to the individual at the exit then they made sure the number of items match what was listed on the receipt. We understand stand you must check items in the cart to match the number of items on the receipt. The problem here is this individual would not take the receipt until searching the cart for undisclosed items. Its not appropriate to touch someone's person items without permission. Especially, someone's child items. She was not friendly and lack basic customer service skills. There needs to be a policy or training in this area. Membership should never experience this type of treatment.
waiting for gift card against return made in oct
Membership no: [protected]
I have been waiting for refund gift card for Order [protected] for $2, 597.99 since early Nov. I have called dozens of times and spoken to numerous membership reps and supervisors who have offered apologies and actions that never happened. On Dec 8 I spoke to Austin Buckley Supervisor in eCommerce who promised to get this resolved hopefully by late Fri or Monday and give me a call. He also shared his direct line [protected] to avoid the hours of calls I have made wasting valuable time.
I have NOT received any call from Austin today even after leaving 2 VMs. I have just spoken to Mikel from eCommerce with little hope.
Can someone get this resolved and send me the cash card?

road hazard at costco fremont, ca warehouse
Please reference to the attached photo taken at Costco Fremont, CA warehouse (43621 Pacific Commons Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538) parking lot. Please review your landscape island curbing setup and remove the sharp curb tip which is pointing against the traffic moving direction.
On Dec. 10, 2017 at 10:30am I was lining up to get my car gas filled up. It was very crowded and having long line in each of the lanes. Without any warning sign my car's front-left wheel hit this cube tip. This tip broke my tire and ended up I need to replace the whole tire. The financial damage to me is $31.39. It is not a big deal to me but this accident did ruined my whole Sunday as I need to leave my car at the tire center for the whole day and finding ride to go back and forth between my home and the warehouse.
If you check the tire marks left on this cube, apparently I am not the first one hit this cube tip and for sure I will not be the last one hitting it if no improvement done to it.
I hope that Costco can get this landscape cube reconfigured ASAP. By then please at least add two traffic cones next to this pointy cube tip to help to warn drivers of such a road hazard.

poutine
Yesterday Sunday December 10, 2017, I Ordered poutine at Costco woodbine location " 1 Yorktech Dr, Markham".This is the only food that me had at yesterday. The taste was very bad taste and bitter.I start to have really bad stomach pains after half an hour. I spent 5-6 hours vomiting and diarrhea with 20-30 min intervals until I were completely exhausted and could not continue on my own. During the 5-6 hours I drank fluids to have at least something in my stomach and not to dehydrate. It was worst injury/pain I had in my life.
I am very disappointed in my experience!
unethical behavior.
Hi
I am calling almost 3x a month only if we have incoming shipments. I wouldn't call if the website is only updated but it is not. I call with a happy voice even early in the morning. but this ms. Susan, even early in the morning she is really in the bad mood every time I call. She is talking behind the phone without even muting or putting it on hold. She complains why we don't check it ourselves online. Then she gets angry if she doesn't hear or get the BL number correctly. I talk to her with respect even though she is not answering the phone well.. I hope someone resolve this... or might as well just inform her to talk to customers well properly over the phone. or when she complains at least she puts the phone on hold. thank you.
managers accused me I of stealing
I returned a product upon entering the store with a cart. Before going back into the store, I stopped to look at the on line order only appliances to pick out my new kitchen appliances which total almost 11k with another 2k for washer and dryer, I purchase a new home every few yrs, remodel then sell and start all over. Bill have been a customer of costco since they opened with most my purchases in the Westlake Village store or Simi Valley or Oxnard prior to the opening of those stores.
After picking out my appliances, I turned around and my cart was gone. I then had to exit the store to obtain a new cart. I went back in store and right as you enter, there was displays of Sony Blue tooth outdoor speaker which my ex husband informed me he purchased 1 for our son for Christmas however, my son who saw the Bose 2 pack which was the second display. I kept going back and f I r the between the two displays reading about them and I put the Sony one under my arm as I was reading the Bose one. I knew from past purchases that costco has special return policies on electronics so I walked up to the front check in girl as I could not find anybody else to ask and I tried explaining to her that my ex husband purchased that sony one in southern California and I wasn't sure when so was there any special policies as my son wants the Bose which was 3x the amount of money and I didn't want to get stuck with a speaker I didn't want. She said she wasn't sure and she needed my card and would go ask someone. I said I would be shopping around the front and they could find me around there. Now I have to tell you, I had a bunch of brain surgeries so when I get flustered, my words don't cone out and my short term memory gets all messed up and I just become a mess.
Next thing I know, I have a small I think Hispanic woman a manager and a tall male manager and a clerk coming my way. Awful lot for an easy question. I was then being accused of trying to steal that Sony speaker. First they say I went up to the return counter and tried to return it, then it was under my arm and I took it outside and tried bringing it back in to return it. They kept saying they had it on camera. I told them it was not possible as those never happened. Yes, I had it under my arm but not outside, I took it to the girl up front. I told them my ex husband bought for my son. They asked me his name so they could look up to see if he bought on his card, well he d I sent have a card, b email is to cheap. He has friends get stuff for him like lots of people do. They would not listen to me at all, treated me like a common thief, humiliated me as all kinds of people were standing around watching. What happend to privacy? The man said he should call PD. I said I don't kn I will what PD is but go ahead. He and the lady got furious. He said Police Department and she said she was tired of me being a smartass and she was revoking my membership. I was not being a smart butt, she had to have been referring to my reference of the multiple brain surgeries. I could tell she didn't believe me. Would she like to feel my tw I crsniotomies with no b plates, my internal seizure machine, my brain shunt along with my giant machine in my belly that socks spinal fluid out of my spine and Injects numbing mess into my back because it hurts so bad. I get out of the house once every few weeks due to pain and they ruined my one night to Christmas shop. Bill already had about 1500.00 in my cart in 45 min of shopping so why would I go through all that hbuttle to steal a 60.00 item? The whole thing makes no sense.
I already filed a complaint and it was sent to the store, Chico ca. I would like this reviewed by corporate.
They revoked my membership and I want corporate to review, not the mngrs who harassed me. I never tried to return item I never exited store, I merely asked a question. I had already returned the item that I needed tovreturn, as u can see in the stores video, the cream that made me break out for return of 160.00 something.
Somebody please contact me from corporate as the migration contacted me was rude, I did litigation for 30 years prior to getting ill and would have never treated some the way he treated ne.

cashier employee
In my 10 years of being a Costco member, I have received the worst customer service today. It's definitely a busy time of year, with the hustle and bussle of the holidays. I have encountered a VERY infriendly cashier. I was shopping with my toddler who was in the cart. As I proceeded to place my items at the register, my cart was apparently in the wrong spot upon check in. The cart was suppose to be on the left side, as oppose to the right. There were extra carts on the left side of the cashier, so I didn't move them because I couldn't leave my toddler alone in the cart. She snarkly spoke to me and said "next time stay on the right!, I don't care anyways today". I couldn't believe it. I said politely, I couldn't move the carts that are obstructing the area. I was astonished that I actually had to explain myself. I would of said something to a higher superior at that time today, but I was just in shock. Let's just say, I won't be visiting Costco for a while. Her name was Jessica L

employees over-riding costco membership return policy; harassment.
I have been a member since Costco's conception, Novato Ca. I have repeatedly had to argue with your cashiers and your manager over and over again, ad nauseam, to the point where I have contacted an attorney. I have been berated, harassed, laughed at, whispered about, eyes rolled and written into your system as a chronic returner of merchandise. I have had to hear "The spirit of my return" not being in line with the Costo return policy so many times by management and staff, that I have contacted an attorney. I am tired of being berated and belittled by your staff regarding my return history. I happen to have been a personal shopper for many years. I also have worked in retail most of my life. I understand Costco's return policy, but apparently, your employees/manager have their own ideas about who and what should and should not be returned. Your lines are OUT THE DOOR every single time I go in, you only have two registers to accommodate all of your members, yet four registers and employees standing around not able to reduce the return line.
It's gotten to the point where I DREAD returning anything at your store(s). And no, Rohnert Park isn't the only store with employees over riding Costco's return policy. It's happening at your Santa Rosa and Novato warehouse's as well. I will have no trouble what so ever of collecting other disgruntled members who have experienced this weird and aggressive employee implemented return policy that is now over-riding the Costco membership agreement.
Finally, and most recently, I returned a Cuisinart Food Processor because it was recalled. I brought it back to your Rohnert Park store in mid-October 2017. I accidentally handed them my own parts, which consisted of three blades, a blade case and an extra mixing top/w lid. I called back to retrieve it and it was gone. Those items cost me over one hundred dollars and I either want them returned to me or I want a gift card for $150.00 to replace those items. Your clerk did not check the box or the bag, had he done so, I would still have my property.
Now, I have called Costco twice, trying to get this resolved, that was on Dec 7, 2017. I have spent plenty of time on the phone being passed from one rep to another. In the end, they told me I had to deal with the Rohnert Park store. I'm at the end of my rope. I just got off the phone with your manager at Rohnert Park, her name is Nadia. I was calling ahead about a Kitchen Aid Mixer that I purchased years back, never opened. She told me, and the previous return person on the phone at RP told me that it wasn't showing up that I bought it. They also both told me that they could only go back eight years. I gave Nadia the skew on the box, she entered it into the computer and it came up, the description was slightly different, but it came up. The price was $269.99, as I told her it was. She told me to bring it in and she would determine whether or not she would take it back.
I remember when customers could come in, have their return scanned, got their money back, be it cash, on a Costco gift card, or their Costco credit card. Now, what your employees are doing, is they are looking up the item, which takes way too long. If Costco is going to subject it's paying members to this kind of policy, which is clearly harassment designed to deter members from returning merch, then you might want to update your registers. Target is doing what Costco use to do. They know exactly what a customer paid when they paid and whether they paid cash, credit or gift card. If you don't stop your employees, and yes, this includes your manager, from this ridiculous, arduous, torturous return policy, then good luck to your longevity. I can shop on Amazon all day long, never leaving my home, buying and returning merch without any hassle from overzealous, judgemental employees reciting "SPIRIT OF RETURN" religious scripture, and I will happily do so if this problem isn't straightened out promptly.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Jamie Tanner
"I accidentally handed them my own parts, which consisted of three blades, a blade case and an extra mixing top/w lid."
I'm sorry to hear that your parts were lost, but this is truly your error. They are not responsible, nor should they be, for the mistake you made in returning your personal parts. You blame the employee for not checking the box, but you yourself put the parts into the box in the first place. If they have gone missing, you are not entitled to any compensation whatsoever. Again, they are not responsible for looking after your personal property that you returned in error.
I am honestly shocked that they even considered processing a return for you for an item that is several years old. Additionally, it is your responsibility to save your receipt if there is a chance you may return something regardless of their system.
It sounds like you have had many experiences that have affected you very personally. They do have the right to decline returns and/or give you dialogue about said returns. Accepting returns is a courtesy (not a requirement) that stores offer to their customers, nothing more. Retailers have to be extra cautious with returns due to increasing incidents of theft in the current atmosphere. You do not have any legal case unless there has been some sort of illegal behavior. Since this has clearly caused you a level of distress, you may just want to refrain from renewing your membership when it's time.
Holy cow! And I mean this with all due respect Jamie, this has got to be one of the most ludicrous complaints I have ever read on any site! You want a refund on merchandise that may even be over 8 years old? You want to be reimbursed because you returned accessories you didn't need to?
I have always believed in respecting a customer, but when a customer is so out of wack with what they feel they're entitled to, they're better off at the competition.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Didn't say it was over 8 years old, just they couldn't find it and said history only goes back 8 years. Once search term entered correctly, the item showed up. No mention in this post of how old it was. And, a policy should clearly state, do not return anything over such and such a time. If they don't want to honor their policy, which they do not want to do, then stop writing it and selling it.
rotisserie chicken
Yesterday 12-8-17, I purchased a rotisserie chicken, which I buy at least once a week. When I got home, the chicken was still pink. I put it on the plate to carve and the juices were pink. This has been happening more and more. Please temp your chickens. They come in different sizes and this one was super under done. The chickens vary in size and I think they cook it to the smallest chicken temp. I know you're trying to put out the most chickens possible but please temp to 165 degrees So you don't make people sick. It stinks to buy a cooked chicken, and have to go home and cook it.
cashier
I was checked out at Tuwila WA costco by Brittany K. She forgot to scan my reward. Never say sorry at first. She said that I have to return my stuffs to purchase again to use my reward. I asked her for a cash card for the reward. She said she can not do it. After she took care the purchase of the next customer. I do not know where she get the cash card to scan for me (earlier she said she can not do it). She is such a bad cashier ever in Costco. I am not happy about her service.
return
Hello,
I visited your location in Irvine on Technology Dr. this evening. In my 25 years of being a Costco customer, this is a first time that I have had a bad experience. I was returning an item, and the manager Mark was rude as soon as he walked up and very condescending. After I spent 20 minutes in line, and another 20 minutes being passed between other employees, I assumed Mark was going to come and make things right, but he only made them worse. After grilling me about my return for 10 minutes, and speaking down to me in front of my wife and other customers, he finally stepped aside and the polite young man, who's name I didn't catch, finished our return.
While we were wrapping things up, Mark and two other managers who we spoke with earlier (young man and young women) huddled together and were obviously making fun of my wife and I amongst each other while throwing rude glances our way.
We were treated with no respect by management and the whole thing took over 45 minutes which made it too late for us to shop and eat dinner, ruining our evening and forcing us to do our shopping tomorrow, which will take time away from our other plans.
In the future it would be good for Mark to learn that whatever store policy or excuse he has when dealing with customers he should always be polite and friendly and never act in such a rude and disrespectful manner. I hope this message gets to him before he upsets another valued customer, as most are not as forgiving as I am.
costco tire center service
For the first time, I decided to purchase tires via the Costco Tire Center (online) for store #1115. I completed my transaction online 11/24/2017. Once the purchase is complete, immediately a email is received thanking me for my purchase. Within the email there is an order number and a note that says, you will receive an email once the tires have been delivered.
12/06/2017 I contact the Tire Center to find out if my tires have arrived, I give the person who answers the phone my order number. He says, clearly you received an email letting you know the tires arrived otherwise you wouldn't have an order number, to which I correct him and inform him that the order number arrived with my receipt via email. He then states that the tires had arrived 30 November and that I should have received many email notifications to which I clearly had not otherwise why would I call to find out if they have the tires. Yesterday Thursday 7 December 2017 I arrive at the Mt. Vernon Costco Tire Center to have the tires mounted. After shopping for a hour, i'm informed that I have ordered the wrong size tires, which according to my car profile via the costco website and the acura website, they are correct, however they have to order a different size. They have removed my tires from my car (which is odd for certified mechanics, to remove tires instead of checking first) they put my tires back on my car unbalanced. When I drove off last night, my car was shaking. Today Friday 8 December 2017 I wanted a full refund of the tires on order. If they can't put my tires back on correctly, why would I let them do service to my vehicle. I see no point is spending over $700 on tires to have to turn around and have someone mount them correctly. Even the customer service rep said they put her rims on and one tire was put on backwards from the same shop. How does that happen if it's your job, and your certified? Costco needs quality assurance team to manage and inspect the quality of work being produced by these young people. I will not let Costco Employees service my vehicle.
well this is 2020 and I bought a chicken, to make chiccken salad and the only thing that was cooked was the breast, the rest of the meat was raq and bleeding! I cannot believe that it was sold. I have put this on social media, and will contact the health department
