Costco travel
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the customer service I experienced during my recent vacation with Costco Travel. On departure day, 3.25.23, my flight was cancelled by American Airlines. I rebooked for the next day at a different airport.
I called your customer service department multiple times in order to resolve my problem and extend my stay on vacation by one day since I lost a day due to my flight being cancelled. Throughout my trip, I could not get a hold of anybody without waiting extended periods of time. I expressed my frustration throughout the whole week that I was on vacation with the managers and each person I talked to, which must have been about 4-6 different people. I was in need of booking an additional day at the hotel since my flight had to be rescheduled and my flight destination changed to a different airport. When I finally got through, I spoke to managers who promised to resolve my issue and return my calls with a solution.
Without any one person following up. I luckily had a friend at American Airlines who changed our flights home for me. I felt no empathy from the customer service team in helping me resolve my issues, and as a result, I was left feeling abandoned and on my own. I have been a loyal customer of Costco for many years and have always appreciated the high level of service that I have received.
However, my recent experience has left me with a very negative impression of your company. I will never book another trip through your agency because, from experience, I know that if something happens, I am on my own. I was left with anxiety all week due to the pending changes that needed to be made, and I didn't enjoy my vacation at all. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that this type of situation does not occur in the future. I would also appreciate it if you could provide me with an explanation for your company's failure to provide me with the level of service that I have come to expect.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the night I lost in Cancun, and, or a credit for part of my trip in general for all the anxiety and panic caused by your company's failure in contacting me back.
Gas attendant
Good Morning
I have been going to the COSTCO Gas Station in Naples, Florida every Friday morning for the last 20 years and have never had issues with your gas attendants. I show up before opening and sometimes I have to wait til opening and sometimes the attendants will open early and it is appreciated. I follow the rules and regulations and observe. All safety rules. When the lane is closed, there is a cone blocking the entrance to the pumps and if not ready the pumps will have locks on them. This morning I arrive as usual and pull up to the white line. I notice the attendant doing her morning checks of the pumps, and there is no cone blocking the lane. I stopped anyway and was looking at the attendant to see if she would nod to move forward. I watched her to two pumps and noticed that she was taking the locks off. I proceed. To move to the last pump and noticed that the attendant was yelling at me that the pumps were not turned on. I replied. Ok, and proceeded to wait in my car. The attendant continued to check pumps and a second car pulled up behind me and he stayed in his car to wait. The attendant finished the pump she was on and proceeded to come over to my vehicle and scorn me about waiting at the white line and causing and issue with other cars doing as I have done. I explained to her that if the lane is closed, the cone should have been blocking the entrance. She tells me that I must have run it over, which means the second car ran it over also. She proceeds to go and turn on the pumps and noticed that there was never a cone blocking entrance. This was my second encounter with her and I know how she reacts to situations because I have witnessed her interactions with other customers first thing in the mornings. As I stated before, over 20 years going to Costco gas and never had issues. I believe there are better ways to interact with your customers than the way she is going about it. I guess it was my turn this morning.

Purchased a Dell all in one 6 months ago. Started having facial recognition problems, wouldn’t let me log in, prior random shutdowns then wouldn’t power on and then randomly started smoking out the bottom. I’ve spent hours and hours on the phone started off for a technician to come out but he was only sent parts for the first 2 problems. I work online now don’t have a computer and Instead of just sucking it up and refunding me they want to send another technician out in 10 days. How does that solve anything? Nobody wants to smell that in their home fixed or not.

Citibank Costco Visa Card
I'm completely disappointed and exasperated with Citt Costco Visa's Cyber Security.
I've had my comprised card cancelled and reissued four times in five months for unauthorized charges. The problem is inconvinience for me, not being able to use my Citi Costco Visa and most annoying having to notify all of my merchant subcribers to cancel my card once again. I informed the Fraud Dept representative of my frustration and displeasure with the lack of better Cyber Security and That I was given them one more chance and that Costco would hear from me.
It first happened when we charged a pizza delivery by Door Dash on Oct/2022.
In December on, we've had charges in Pottery Barn charge of $145 (est), Door Dash three to four times and most recently, C3Tech $19.99 on March 31st.

Laptop 2 year warranty, 1 year addition allstate
3/17/23: Less than 2 years, more than 90 days so no return, screen went black, called Tech Serv. could not fix, told me to send pics for all angles of computer, 10+, sep emails to the next step Costco Concierge Services. Email back from them, another 24 hours.
I was told to answer a bunch more questions and then they would send me a box to mail computer back to them (in approx. 2 days). They will then evaluate it to see If I damaged it (not covered), which I did not damage, but it shows all kinds of damage when you sign up for extra coverage (I did) that is covered (?). Of course, they insisted that I back everything up before I send the computer (my screen is black). Also, I need a computer 24/7 for my business.
Here is the issue: On your Costco/Allstate coverage pamphlet, it says you will send me (I assumed by email) a prepaid shipping label and the computer would be repaired, replaced, or refunded within 2 days. This is day 2 and you plan to MAIL ME a box in 2 days? This is NOT what I signed up for. Please reread the "Quick and easy claims section" of your pamphlet.
Desired outcome: I had to buy a new computer 3/18/23 (Reread pamphlet distributed 6/26/21. I want my computer replaced or refunded. Your clock for repair will have expired before you even read this. case #: [protected].
My Philips hearing aids
I'm trying to return my Philips Hearing aids before my 180-Day Trial Period ends.
I have my right hearing aid in for repair at the Costco store where I purchased it. My right hearing aid as of today has been in the repair shop for 15 days. They said it would take two weeks. I took my left hearing aid in because it also needs repair. I took them that I wanted refund but because they already have my right hearing aid. But because my right hearing had not come back from repair, they would not refund my money. So they have my right hearing aid and will not except my left hearing aid for refund.
Desired outcome: My refund.
Attempting to get refunded for an erroneous payment made on a closed account
Request from the credit card company two simple things: 1. Confirmation that the Durable Power of Attorney that I have sent is recognized and they will talk to me. 2. Refund an erroneous $600 payment that was not owed. That’s it. BACKGROUND: My brother had a stroke in July 2022 which left him with severe brain injury, unable to speak and partially paralyzed. I have Durable Power of Attorney over his financial affairs. I faxed the first copy of the DPOA to Citi as directed on 8/17/22. Was advised that I would have approval in 7- 10 business days. Heard nothing. In January 2023, my brother erroneously authorized a “bill pay” from his checking account to this credit card. I saw it immediately on line and called Citi. They said they couldn't talk to me because they saw no POA and I had to resend. Resent POA by FAX ON 2/20/23. After 10 business days, I began a series of calls to have the above two questions answered. Every time I call I have to start all over again with the background and am passed from one department to another until the line simply disconnects. Over and over again. ALL the phone connection lines are so poor that I cannot understand what the person is saying (as if it matters since I am just being transferred to another person on a garbled line and then disconnected).
Desired outcome: Refund executed.

I Jacob campo work at cds to purchase ebike from costco spoke to manager about it weeks before decision was convinced want to buy at 7:50pm went to buy was told can not need a membership card more then one time I purchased item at costco and was never given a problem. Been working at that costco ;location since January 10th 2023.still have to work next day cold out needed and expected assembly too.i was also told that wouldn't be a problem very upset frustrated angry about this whole thing some other dude help me took control of situation and I paid for the bike like I wanted to do expected assembly and wasn't told about any protection plan . just saying I can return it in 90 days. Like these people don't want me to have the bike i earned it worked for it and want ms ray fired .for being rude disrespectful wrong inconsiderate mean and rude. also ask to speak to the manager who is not assisstant manager and was denied that service from ms ray assistant manager she should never be promoted to top manager or super visor as costco employee have to be good to your customers and other employees I in no way showed up to embarrass or get upset at any one really looking to leave costco rideing out happy.my complaint is sure. Ended up purchasing bike had to carry box took two bus and train to essemble at home. Deli items
I have enjoyed your deli items but noticed that they weigh less plus having less quality ingredients.
I had one from my freezer and it weighed far more than the latest ones but I could tell by just looking.
The newer ones have less cheese and meat as well as a high price but what really irked me this last time around was your enchilada casserole that used to have chicken only but is Now FILLED with beans. Not just a little I mean filled! The Italian ones have also been sacrificed.
You still pay less in taxes than I do but that's not enough? I'm disgusted.
You could've put beef if there is poultry problem but beans and almost no cheese?
Roll up sandwiches also now filled with cabbage and almost no meat too.
The corporate greed is the problem here not " inflation." You sacrificed quality for the cheapest ingredients possible. We used to love your deli but even the chickens have been smaller, are they younger because they're cheaper per lb. to buy?
It's really a shame, the one company I thought was somewhat ethical.
Desired outcome: Lower the price or bring back the quality of ingredients.
Handicap discrimination
Handicapped stay away. The limerick store does not care! Handicap discrimination. I actually tried costco 1 more time and again no equipment for the handicapped. 2-8-23. Dead machines and a very limited amount for a store this size. 3 times I cannot take my handicapped wife shopping. Poor poor management. All machines today had no power and were not parked near a plug. How ignorant. Stay away

Kirkland peaches glass jar 4 pack
I was asleep on the 1st of March when I was awoke by an explosion and was being pelted with shards of glass, it was very scary. I didn't know what happened I thought my window had been shot out. After getting up the courage and calling someone to come help me look outside and checking the property and finding nothing to miss I went back inside to investigate. Much to my surprise I found that the glass jar of Kirkland peaches I had placed in my room about a week prior had exploded. Exploded to the point I couldn't find the lid and the only remains of the jar I did find was a few small pieces of glass that was still held together by a piece of the label just a small piece of the jar. Noting else of it was left except slivers of glass throughout the room.It was a brand new jar it hadn't been opened. Besides the fact that it was very scary, me and my roommate were pelted with shards of glass inflicting cuts and knocking over the TV and shattering it. I've never heard of this happening I didn't even know it was possible. What is the next steps in a situation like this?
Desired outcome: I would like to make sure it doesn't happen again in close range of people, pets, or small children. I cant afford to not only buy food I dont get to eat but also food that damages property I can't afford to replace
Customer service
Never been treated so badly EVER in a store! For 30 years I have been a member of Costco. I now live in both Arizona and Washingtion. I also own numerous rental properties (big spending potential, executive level member).
For 30 years, I have used costco for prescriptions and eyeglasses and have known that I can access both these departments without a card on me. Today I visited the Vancouver WA costco. My card was in Arizona. I was there to pick up a prescription but wanted to check to see if their metal shelving was in stock to justify waiting in line for a temporary card. One of the stores' front door persons actually followed me into the store and told me I either had to go straight to the pharmacy or I could leave the store, and she would escort me either way!
Needless to say, I was highly offended, especially since I watched her allow at lease 4 people through the entrance without seeing any ID before me. So, I did wait in line for my temp membership paper and then went to management to complain. the asst mgr, Brett, informed me that this is their new policy. In fact, even though it is the law that anyone is allowed to fill scripts there, they will not allow anyone into store without a card! How does that work?
And, think about it, if a visiting non-member sees an item they would like to by, then costco gets a new member! What is the value in expelling people from your store?
The asst manager then pulled the 'high rate of theft' card as a justification. Well, I asked if he thought only non-members steal? And, if they wish to address theft, then be my guest assigning staff to follow ALL customers, or perhaps hiring guards at your emergency exits, dah. But harrassing humans in your establishment is just not right.
As I see that this store has only earned 1 star with nearly 2000 complaints, hopefully this is a store issue, as I will not subject myself to this kind of treatment for any price going forward.
Desired outcome: Appology from the front person Ali. If this is the way Costco intends to treat people going forward, then I want a public statement so people buying your membership know what to expect.

I placed this order on Jan. 8, 2023 and was advised that it would be 5 days or longer for the order to come in and that they would advise me when it did.
When I went to my account and saw that the account was cancelled, I was furious. I waited all that time with a tire that was constantly losing air.
I have no idea of whose credit card information was on the order, but it wasn't mine. I use my credit card all the time at Costco.
I think it is very poor customer relations to cancel and order and not tell the customer it is cancelled. They emailed me my order so they had my email.
I am thoroughly disgusted with Costco not advising me of the cancellation.
Desired outcome: There is no refund. I bought my tires elsewhere.
Citi Costco Credit Card
I was very disappointed with Citi Costco Credit Card. Since Citi Costco Credit Card does have foreign transaction fee, I added to Citi Costco Credit Card to my Apple Wallet for purchase when I traveled to Canada, however Citi Costco Credit Card gave me so much troubles and kept declining transactions while I desperately needed despite I repeatedly gave travel notice. Citi Costco Credit Card customer service was even worse, the representative guy rudely hung up my phone while I was still speaking.
Desired outcome: when customers gave travel notice, stop declining transactions! Hire better Citi Costco Credit Card customer service!
The costco returns process is pre-historic, fix it.. its 2023 already
Having had my wife pick up some AA batteries, turned out there were some misplaced AAA in box which we ended up buying. Now, the return process of receipt and product comes into play. However, every time the return line is ridiculously long and a bunch of well meaning but over zealous Costco return folks take there sweet time getting around to folks. I gave up on the line, totally ridiculous process of returns costing me money, as a member and Costco as a company. So, Costco you need to wake up and fix this, online return or drop box /desks don't need people if you have authorized and scan return labels that customers can provide either QR codes on their phones. Take a look at Amazon Walmart or others, it's as applicable to your own business, people and time at those returns is costing you.
At this moment Costco is sadly looking like a Dinosaur company, or perhaps more topical 'South west airlines', lack of investment for customers paying your salaries is a real problem.
Fix the returns process, automate this and make this a smooth process.

Quit lozenge
I ordered and received three items of quit lozenge on 12/28/93. When I opened the box, I saw one of the items had the cellophane all cut up, and the individual rolls strewn all over the inside of the box. While the rolls do not appear tto be tampered with, it leaves very uneasy. I have no way to know if the product has been tampered with.
This is the second time this has happened
